If I had to choose between rounded corners or stairs, I'd go with the rounded corners. There's a value/need in having many of those in one dungeon. Stairs ... you only need a very few, certainly not nearly as many as rounded corners (especially if the rounded corners work well enough to make a circular room).

I'm going to guess and say either stairs or a rounded corner. All the pieces so far are similar to ones found in the basic Dungeon sets and all are very necessary/useful.

My guess is it would be the rounded corner, but I'm hoping for stairs.

I also wonder if the Rounded Corner is the first gift to the long time collectors.

The Dungeon Tiles have been very modular and versatile to this point. The first 3 were the necessary (floor, wall, corner). Even the Diagonal Wall is very versatile. You can use it for corners, walls, or staggered can be a narrow 45 degree passage, or spread wide with a floor tile can become a wide 45 degree passage.

The Rounded Corner does not give you as much as the Diagonal (no corridor for example), except for old Collectors. I am pretty sure this is the first way we can get the curved half floor. Hopefully we can get more of curved half floors as add-ons. (hint-hint-hint)

Stefan is obviously looking at the designs different as shown by the video with the "modular" passage corner, so I am going to start brainstorming bad ideas.

D&D Speculation 1 - Large Curved Wall. 4x4 wall tile that couples with curved wall to make a curved passage? It would make the Dungeon Tile passageway narrower (maybe 1.5"). However, if they had a 3/4 round piece that fit inside the open floor, it could become a 4x4 for a tower wall? Left open it could be the opening for a circular stair. (I have been thinking of cutting up a few curved passageways to make Large Curved Walls.) – Good for both newbies and collectors.

D&D Speculation 2 - Narrow passage & modular 'passage corner'. Basically a 2x2 narrow passage and a 2x2 corner wall with the angled cuts as Stefan shows in the video. 2 pieces that could make straight passages, L-passage, or T-passage. If this was added we could have 1" passages, 1.5" passages (wall against the back side of wall tile), or 3" passages (2 walls facing each other). Good for both newbies and collectors.

D&D Speculation 3 - Room/ Intersection tile with removable walls. The new 4-way used in RotA and DoE Exp. 4x4 tile with four removable walls so it can be a room (3 walls), L-passage (2 walls), T-passage (1 wall), or just columns in the center of a large room (no walls). This would be another gift to old collectors since we do not have this in the Classic line. Good for both newbies and collectors.

I NEED the Room/ Intersection tile with removable walls. I have a bunch of 4-way intersections I have been trying to cut up and make into this. I will never finish the project. No pressure though.....

W00T! Now we just gotta hit that stretch goal so we all get the dang things! I'm still not sure how much money I'll have at my disposal, but I'll be doing my part soon enough!

A thousand times this. While they don't look as nice, my favorite stairs are the ones with 3 or 4 1" steps, so that minis can stand perfectly on them and they fit nicely on the grid.

So since we know the next two stretch goals, I take it this is guessing for the next one after that?

Stairs are cool, but like what was previously said, you only need a few of them. I would toss my vote in this direction though.

Agree regarding the 3-4 large steps so minis can actually stand on them. It doesn't look "right" in terms of scale but works so much better practically speaking. Plus it makes battles that go up or down the stairs easier to adjudicate.

Hmm. Mebbe stairs could be a "two per pledge" or add-on or whatever.

I do prefer the more aesthetic steps that are too small for the mini's. One thought is to stick a small piece of whatever on the lower stair to make the 1" space a mini needs to stand up.

I still think one of the stretch goals should be a miniature of Zaltar!
