Oh, Newbies like me: Out of stock on a Limited set means it will eventually come back in.

Well, one PDF I'd be interested in is papercraft!

If the KS doesn't include buildings, I'd like a papercraft PDF I can print out to stick on doors, windows, etc. onto the walls to make stone buildings. See the classic dungeon photos, if you haven't already, for examples of making buildings from these tiles!

Personally I'd be very happy with that! I do a lot of papercraft and typically use paper miniatures for my Pathfinder games. Wouldn't be opposed to printing and cutting some nice looking scale houses or dungeon accessories.

The next four sets I would love to see made by DF in dwarvenite would be...

Passage Set
Wicked Edition Set #1
Caverns Set
Cavern Passage Set

I know I would buy at least 10 of each of these sets once released in dwarvenite :).

Of course I would love to see a rerelease of out of print limited edition items in dwarvenite....ogre den, den of evil room set...etc. That's just dreaming though.

This is good news, because I was drawn to the full product listing by the Kickstarter promo and was significantly disappointed by the amount of out-of-stock notices on stuff that I was ready to throw immediate money at.

I've been reassured this is temporary, which is pleasing to me. :)

Welcome to the DF forum ELFLOVE,

I think you misinterpreted what RBloom0566 meant. After he learned of Dwarven Forge`s Game Tiles kickstarter, he went to see what other products DF has for sale (just click on the "products" button at the top of this page). Unfortunately, many of them are Out of Stock right now.

Diagonal walls have been announced! I'm so happy! *dances around* I'm trying to talk my husband into a 3rd unpainted set to go with the 2 painted I'm already getting.

Columns or stairs would be an excellent choice for the next "new" piece.
After that? Maybe a larger floor piece, like 4x4?

And more doors. Doors are good.

It would be nice to see pillars, a staircase and a 5x4 floor slab as 3 different stretch goals. I suspect the slab might be too expensive thou. Round corners and halls would be awesome too! Or a bed or fireplace...

Hope this doesn't get buried, but, if you look at the Reaper comments, some of those who pledged with add-ons are unhappy that those who didn't will receive their shipment first (because they're the simplest to fulfill).

As much as I like the sexy stuff, I can show you boxes full of cardboard dungeon tiles I don't use because the stuff on them don't come up in play. The more different sizes you have, the more bulky it is to store and set up.

I still want to build a tavern, though. :D

Re:Stretch Goals Speculation 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Congrats to you guys for the explosive success of the Kickstarter campaign! I’m in for 5 painted sets, and eager for news about add-ons. And, uh, since I’m thinking about this all the time, why not burden you with my own half-baked theory on how to proceed?

I think the campaign’s success so far is partially due to 2 specific elements:
1- It’s *simple*. People sign up for a certain number of sets. That, and whether or not to paint them, is the only choice they make. Based on the number of sets they buy, they calculate their bonus goodies. Not too many options to complicate things. It also makes it easy on DF’s end, come distribution time.
2- The deal keeps getting better over time, as more and more people pledge. This, incidentally, is IMHO a key ingredient in Reaper’s success. Pledge once, don’t do anything else, and then settle in to watch as your payout gets better and better and better.

I think this works, in part, because DF started from a specific goal -- they planned for a certain size box filled with two sets, and calculated shipping costs accordingly. Any amount of stretch goal goodies up to that point won’t mess up their shipping plans.

Okay, from half-baked analysis to half-baked planning!

I think DF should list an add-on “Bonus Box” as soon as the first new piece (diagonal walls) gets a mold funded ($400,000). The Bonus Box is $100 (or whatever), and ships with 12 diagonal walls in it. Now, you can introduce Bonus Box stretch goals that alternate with the main campaign stretch goals, ie every $50k or so. At each Bonus Box stretch goal, you throw in a few more of the new pieces as they become available (diagonal walls, then diagonal half-floors, then ?others? as Stefan’s Grand Evil Scheme gets revealed).

I see a couple specific advantages to this strategy:
1- It’s simple, just like the main campaign. People sign up for the add-on, or they don’t. Not a million cluttered add-on options (8 more diagonal walls, or 12 more diagonal walls, or 12 more diagonal floors, etc etc). Note that Reaper had to spend weeks designing a Pledge Manager after their campaign ended.
2- It gets better and better over time. At the very maximum, the Bonus Box gets filled with a number of Game Tiles that fits in the box, that ships for a price that works for DF, and that still makes a profit for DF. The $100 (or whatever) is the price that allows this to happen, just as $120 is the price point for a box filled with two unpainted sets but still ships out profitably for DF (um, right?).
3- Also, another important point -- the Bonus Box starts out as a pretty lousy deal. $100 for 12 diagonal walls?! Only addicted fanboys (like, um, me) are going to pledge for that. But because the *overall pledge total* is the thing that matters, as the main campaign keeps chugging along, the deal becomes more and more enticing until anybody who’s already throwing down $300 on walls/floors/corners/doors can’t help clicking on the Bonus Box too.
4- It allows for the more frequent stretch goals that keep interest high. Too much time/money between stretch goals blunts momentum.
5- Most important for the people reading this: it gives the existing DF crowd more reason to contribute. Since you can add the Bonus Box to any pledge level, even the people who are only in for $10 or $25 can now contribute significantly more. Sure, I’m new to DF and only own a few sets, so I’m incredibly psyched for a boatload of basic tiles, but even the people reading these forums with a closet full of Room/Passage sets would jump at the chance to buy a cheap box full of diagonal walls, diagonal floors, ?other? bonus pieces.
6- It limits the potential downside. DF is already straying from their initial plan by moving into new bonus pieces, after starting with the idea of 4 new molds, tops. The absolute worst thing that could happen at this point is if DF loses money on the campaign, makes too many expensive molds, and can’t get the stock levels up on MasterMaze and Game Tiles to capitalize on the buzz from Kickstarter. Even if things stall out at $420k or whatever, the Bonus Box by itself doesn’t mandate moving ahead with extra pieces or whatever -- it merely packages the bonus pieces that DF has already decided to mold.

Anyway, just some unsolicited ramblings from a relative newbie.

And here's a bizarre add-on idea: Dwarvenite *miniatures bases*

I don't think it's surprising to expect your customers want to match their bases to the terrain the miniatures will be in. So I requested Stefan to make a video of how to paint miniatures bases to match the Dwarvenite game tiles.

Then I realized, why can't DF make miniatures bases that *match* their game tiles? (:

Oh, and I'd like one that accommodates slotted miniatures. I so do not want to learn how to pin!

I have over 300 miniatures that I would happily base with dwarvenite. All the money for this.
