Comparison pics? 1 Year ago
Posted this in the "Tiles?" thread, but I realized it's pretty easily missed in all of our excited "YAY!!!" posts. :)

Can you post some pictures of the painted Dwarvinite game tiles intermixed with the current line of MM room pieces? That would really help me figure out if I should go with the painted or gray sets.

Thanks and good luck with the new product line!

Sounds like a great idea. We will do that tomorrow. You can kind of see it done here:

Put we will post some pics tomorrow of the two styles combined. They work well together.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks, Jeff. Seeing the stairs on the new tiles does help (looks good!), but I'm sure other pics can't hurt. :)

I do like the option of painted vs. unpainted. I think you'll get a lot of new folks who will opt for unpainted for cost reasons (and it still looks good out of the box), as well as those who want to do their own custom paint schemes. In any event, I think it was a smart decision.

Really excited for you guys on this. I hope it really takes off!

Jeff/Thod/Stafan,
Please make sure to post pics of both painted and unpainted sets alongside original DF sets in order to compare how well they all go together.

Although I've already pledge for 5-Painted Sets I could up my pledge and get 10 unpainted sets or 5-painted and 5-unpainted if they look good beside each other...just imagine the possibility of a DARK DUNGEON SETTING! Muahahaha!

That's a door from our wicked edition 3 set...the Game Tile pieces were designed and painted to be able to mesh with the mastermaze line...even though the sculpting and painting are slightly different, they look fine together with the older designs...of course, also the accessories look great within game Tile sets, as do accessories from other companies, and also miniatures, ours and other companies...

Thanks Biowizard and Stefan. I can see it now!

You may want to be mindful of the text under that Picture on the Kickstarter campaign.
Currently it says something like - 'No Accessorise are supplied'. You may need to add something more encompassing like 'This set-up includes additional pieces from other DF ranges as well as figures and accessories that are not included with this Game Tile KS project. This is to show Game Tile compatibility' with other DF lines."

Also, The beginning of the video shows traditional Mastermaze pieces alongside new Game Tile pieces....at around .37 seconds in....the game Tiles shown are the ones that have only been painted with only one simple drybrush!

Those are not even the expertly painted pieces that we offer painted....they are unpainted pieces that I have given a one coat paint job on...you see me doing just that in the video as well....See how they still go alongside our traditional Mastemaze pieces so seamlessly that nobody seems to have noticed?

Couldn't Dwarven Forge offer whole DF resin sets as add-ons for this KS?

Stefan,
I looked at the video at the 37 second mark and could see some slight differences in the sets, but as you stated they weren't the actual custom painted pieces. I really don't need any new sets (I own 100 sets now), but do need the 2X2 floor tiles. When I build my mega dungeons I get very close to running out of floor tiles. I'm thinking of ordering a couple sets just for the floor tiles.

Can you tell me, or show us with pics, how closely the new Custom Painted Kickstarter sets match with the resin sets?
I would really appreciate your feedback!
