TOPIC: Printing the Maps

Printing the Maps 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi All:
I'm new to the forum and just recently purchased 5 sets of the DwarvenForge Tiles! Love them and I'm always browsing here looking for what the experts have to say and offer with their advice.

Anyways, this question may come across silly, but I can't seem to print the maps from the map maker on one letter sized sheet of paper. The maps can without question fit on the paper, but only the top half gets printed and the rest gets cut off. I have tried fitting the map to page with the printing options, I have tried moving the map on the screen, all to no avail. I am hoping that someone can help me get an idea of how I can print these maps and if necessary re-size them so if I choose to do a larger map I can have it fit on one page. I've used Internet Explorer and also Firefox if that helps. Suggestions?

Thank you,
John

I have never tried it but maybe saving the map as an image file, rescaling that, then printing might work.

Thanks for the response Arcarius2001, but it doesn't give you any Save options outside of the actual map making program! Frustrating! I'm not incompetent with this stuff so I'm really confused as to why I cant get this to work! Maybe nobody else has used the map making program in this way? Still looking for answers?

Here's a possible solution.

-Create Map and Set zooming so that you see all your map at the biggest resolution.
-Click "print screen" or "CTRL-print screen" depending on your computer.
-Open Image editing software; every PC has at the very least "Paint".
-Click File, new image & Ctrl-V. This should create an image of your screen shot.
-Crop the parts of the image that are not part of the map (select tool, crop).
-Print!

I guess it would be preferable to have an official solution through the software. I also guess this will only be happening after the 2nd kickstarter as I heard there is no more development funds available for Map Maker right now...

FYI:
It worked to a point! I could print it on an 8 1/2 X 11, but it wasn't easy. Would be great if the printing of these was a simple print and fit to page. however, IT IS NOT. Thanks!
