Rabid Fox,

Well... First and Formost The Sci-Fi Corridors Work Pretty well as Bunkers Actually, My Only Comment Really (Aside from the Obvious Felt Issue Distracting Mildly from the Over all Crispness of the Brightly Painted Sci-Fi Pieces), Some of the Stands/Bases For the Mech-warrior Miniatures are Not as Smooth as D&D Bases are, so I Get "Nervous" about Scratching of DF... But as Far as the Actual Look Goes They Work fairly Nicely, Especially as Hangers and EQ Lay outs... And Again, although this Discussion was about Sci-Fi, I must repeat that The Caverns are Very Mech-Warrior Friendly Sets...

Rabid Fox,

. . .

Again, I stand reminded; I should have included the Cavern MM in the question.
Cavern MM works very well with the Sci-Fi MM.
L has posted pics in the past that show how well the Cavern MM can transition to the Sci-Fi MM.
When this move is over, I will be placing a pic up of the actual set-up that I posted the computer sketch of a while back.
This pic will show intermixing of both the Sci-Fi and Cavern MMs in a fun set up from our local BattleTroops/BattleTech campaign.

This move with work combined is just so much fun  ; at least I was home for a good bit of it unlike some moves in the past. :)

So MLV, when do we get to see pics of your MechWarrior set up?
They should look good from the sound of it.

I've been using the Sci-Fi mazes for games of Aliens (and AVP), with the miniatures that Leading Edge produced back in the 90's. The minis are about 25mm and fit in the hallways much better. Most of the 28mm+ minis are just too big for the doors and spaces.

Your Concerns with 28-30mm Scale are well Documented... These Do really Work Best with Slightly Smaller Scale Minis...

We use the sets for underground complexes in
"Ultimate Warzone" and we had a game of "Rezolution" in it.

For Warzone we had a overground tabletop also cause the sets i own (4 Starter, 4 Passage, 2 Alpha) are not enough to do a setup big enough for Warzone alone with them.

The Sci-Fi sets a generic enough to be used in various settings and thats a good thing.

We just started a new RPG campaign, using some of the old Star Frontiers minis, as well as some custom pieces. The Sci-Fi scenery is working out great! I also like the idea that was mentioned about using them for the interior of 40K buildings.
