Go to the ArmorCast news section.
They discontinued a whole slew of stuff about six months ago including the spiny cactus I wanted to buy.
In light of the announced closure of the TerraForms division of ArmorCast, I get a feeling that this demise of the TerraForms division has been in the works for a while now.
It maybe became an actuality due to a low response (conjecture on my part) to the slew of discontinued products last year.
I know I did not make a peep; regret that now.
Maybe we can turn this particular decision around (again my conjecture) if we respond strongly enough with money, not just talk.
That way we can show that a good number of folks in the gaming community do actually care about the continuing existence of the TerraForms division of ArmorCast.

Rabid Fox,

Does This Have to do with the Recent Announcement of the Latest Post Closings? If so Do You Have the Kind of Senority/ Job Security to Get Transferred? Good Luck to You and Lady Fox Either Way... And Of Course Post Pics as You Get'em...<Smirk>...

News on the homefront MLV.

Found out late last week that no one in my agency will suffer from the BRAC 2005 list.
That sent my wife into her Plan B.
We are now moving just over 3.7 klicks to new quarters that she likes much better.

Each move seems to be getting harder and harder with the boys and I collecting more and more "toys" plus increased moving costs.
Additionally, it seems no matter how far, it is still just as challenging.
At least I will be "at home" for this one.
It took me eight months to find some of the stuff she packed last time, and I am having little "birthday surprises" even now when I open an unfamiliar box and find items that I thought my wife had sold off prior to a previous move that I was away during.
She has had so many "garage sales" while I have been on assignment or deployed that I have gotten into the habit of seriously packing my gaming stuff and books before I leave to keep them relatively safe in the event of a sale and a move before I can get back or if I get reassigned on the fly which has happened more than a few times with all the modernization our military departments have been going through in the last 20 years or so.
Even when I changed my job profile, we seemed to still move fairly often.
This time's garage sale is this Saturday, and I think my wife feels I am cramping her style; I keep bringing up reasons for keeping various items.
She will be wishing me back to the Gulf or elsewhere if I do not let her sell more of what she wants to.
Then again, the homecomings from my deployments and other assignments have always been great.
At least she cannot target any of my gaming stuff this time; I am here to defend it!

Finally got my Anisty order, they really mean they ship withing 28 days, it was shipped at exactly 27, and got here from the UK today, i was even late for work, becuase i grabbed it on the way to the car, and was in the parking lot looking over all of the niffty bits an pieces.

Armorcast came some time ago, and between all of the bits i have a stack of things that need some work, but i hope they will liven up the set ups and give some added elements within rooms that seems to be so lacking in my Sci-fi set ups.

Now comes the annoying part, the painting and the glueing....

Okay already - SPILL!!
What did you get?!?
And I mean from both Mike AND Tim!
We do not NEED pics right now; just a list of what you got.
Let the rest of us get some vicarious enjoyment this way GS.

With this move and its costs, I am looking at the end of the Summer for my order; not that the new quarters are not a fabulous improvement.
My wife has the eye!

So, back to the subject, what did you get?!?

GS, could you please go ahead and post all of your pics from this thread again?
Most of the items you bought are great furnishings pieces for Master Maze terrain.
We would all benefite from your pics.

RF, GS,

MY big problem is that I'm a late-comer to RPG'ing, so I have a LOT of shopping to do to get all those little goodies that many of you have been stockpiling over the years.
I'm waiting for the IRS to pony up their loan repayment so I can hit the Ainsty/Grendel pages for a major buy. I need Cargo Bay and single-wide pressure doors for SF layouts, and many more furniture goodies as well. And Fantasy still looks pretty barren without beds, bars, shelves, etc.

Oh well; I guess I'll just have to see what I can come up with.

See Ya!

Well, you don't have me beat by That much time wise, for Scenery Elements. While i have been playing RPG's since 1980, i only really Started with the scenery in about 2003, and for Sci-Fi with DF when the Sci-Fi line came out... It was my biggest and first real Terrain entry. But it was enough to get me to take the plunge big time, most everything i have bought has been in the last 16 months or so. All of the Anisty, and Grendel were all in the last year, and there was random purchases of other things along the way, one of the reasons nothing is painted, just no time and all relativly new.

I admit i was able to retro some stuff from 3.75 inch action figures into more use for mini scale (we used to run the SW games using Action figures... it was fun, but about an hour in we ended up playing with the toys more than the adventures... ) So i had some things that worked, and a Huge back collection of other Toys, be they real Star Wars Toys or lots of odd ball Sci-fi or "military" toys that got converted into stuff for Miniatures.

I have lots of odd ball accesories, but untill the Anisty Stuff never really had any good "non rustic" fruniture. I finally was able to track down a bunch of these at the doll section of my FLGS,

The set i bought a number of was the Bedroom and Misc (not called that by where i found them but the same things). they make decent high end furnishings for D&D, and the beds are a little less military than the Bunks. for $1.50 a pop not bad at all.
