TOPIC: What figures?

OK, so when I first set up my sci-fi pieces, I immediately grabbed some Cadian figures and some Tyrannids. Had to act out some "Aliens" battles. Supplemented that with some Space Marines for backup. heh heh heh

Also went through my old Micromachine Star Wars figs. Not quite in scale, but almost the entire classic trilogy was made, and they look GREAT. It'll tide me over until the minis arrive next month.

Then I put out some Necrons -- mine are silver, and silver-on-silver doesn't look that good. But I still dig 'em.

Then I thought -- hey, Resident Evil/Day of the Dead! ZOMBIE FIGHT! Put some cadians fighting zombies in the Last Compound of Humanity. Amazingly appropriate, really evocative, and something I didn't see coming at all (neither did those poor cadians!)

So -- did I get 'em all? Obviously any WH40K factions are going to work in this setup to some degree or other, but I personally feel that the Space Marines, Tyrannids, and Imperials work best.

But the zombie thing was new to me -- anyone have any suggestions for other cool, somewhat unexpected figures that would fit right in on the sci-fi table?

Not Sure that Legions of Steele would be Unexpected per se' but certainly Likely... The Nightmares were the Best Horror/ Robot Figures ever Made in my Opinion... Also why not Give Some Battletech or Epic 40K a Shot just for the Kick? Hot Wheels? I Dunno... But You Oughta take Some Pics of things like the Zombie Fight and Post 'em...

There are actually a lot of D&D minis that would look right at home in a sci-fi game. The Behir from Giants of legend, for example:

or maybe the Otyugh, lurking somewhere in the depths of a trash compactor...

or a grick

or a blue slaad

I could do this all day! :)

The old Leading Edge "Aliens" and "Terminator" figures work perfectly. They're 25mm and really look cook in the passages. ;)
