You may have noticed the Work Loader in the cargo bay of the spaceship.

They were a fairly simple conversion. I noticed these constructionmech’s looked like the Caterpillar P-5000 Powered Work Loader from the movie Alien. Especially I liked the arms.

Here they are before conversion. The type number is on the base. They shouldn’t cost more than a dollar or two each. Try Ebay if your game store dosen't have one.

What makes them out of scale for the Caterpillar P-5000 is that their supposed to be giant machines I’m guessing 100 feet tall.

But if you carefully remove the cockpit cover and …

carve out the controller. You can then insert a 25-28mm scale head. Here I used HeroClix thugs. They had a cargo worker look to them.

Glue together carefully, make yourself a new base, and you’ll have a nice accessory for you cargo hold. Note: watch it superglue on the clear plastic, it will cloud it up.

Here’s a close-up of the P-5000. With the head in place it now looks scale.
