Painting tutorials for Master Maze sets 4 Months ago
I know that in the past Dwarven Forge was hesitant to share painting info for their Master Maze line to keep folks from applying paint schemes and techniques to other, non-DF products.

Now that Game Tiles exist in dungeon and soon to be caverns, does Stefan have any plans to give out info on how we can best match up our Game Tile and Master Maze pieces?

I very much would like to use both together without such glaring color differences and also think this would boost paint sales among veteran DF aficionados :-)

jasdotcom,

There's no real secret to reproduce painting of resin/MasterMaze pieces. It's exactly the same technique as for PVC/Dwarvenite with using other colors. There are a few old posts (4 years and more) of painting tutorials made by DF fans, just do an advance search! There is no official specific acrylic paint color as the original paints used to paint resin are lacquers obtained on the Chinese market.

Thanks! Those indeed were the magic words to use in the search bar.

I'm still looking for any painting tips on how to match the MM Ice Caverns Set. I've been wanting an Ice Fortress for a loooong time and the closest paint match I've found on the internet is a very cool (ha ha) project by the talented Jim Johnson

FOUND HERE

I still think Stefan can show us a way to get a closer match, however :-)
