New Pieces for Next ??? Set 2 Years, 3 Months ago
A really simple piece to enhance our standard-size passage mazes -- a stand-alone wall. Just a regular wall, but with a thin base like most DF doors have. Cheat the edges a little so it also fits in the Curved Passage.

It can be placed in a passage for a dead end, as you would see in lots of mazes. It makes a great place to force the party to use that passwall spell they've been saving. It can also be used for a moving wall trap, which will either crush the party or force them into a dangerous room.

I realize this piece might not get a great deal of use, so there should only be one or two in a Wicked Additions (or maybe an Advanced Builder?) set.

Thoughts?

That is a really good idea. Could also be a "secret door" type location as well.

Also..

A standard 2"x2" floor piece with one 1"x1" square (corner) cut out -- an L-shaped floor tile.

It gives us a spot to put descending shafts, spawn points, small pools water/acid/lava, or whatever else we might think of. We could switch an L-shaped floor for a standard floor when a PC triggers a trap.

A version of this might have water attached, or lava. Or there might be a small selection of 1"x1" square pieces with different themes.

I would love to see some half size water pieces and more river/lake bank and bank corner pieces.

Okay, home sick, beset by orcs on every side, but here is an image for the L-shaped tile idea.

By itself, it leaves a five-foot square hole in the floor, which we can put paper or cloth underneath to simulate water or lava or acid or a bottomless chasm.

With a water (or lava or acid or whatever) square built in (or separate), we can add small square or rectangular inlets to canals, or put square or rectangular pools in dungeon floors.

The great thing about the L-shape is that you can move the missing/water square by turning the tile.

And I just realized that the Insert Wall from ABS2 is exactly what I first posted, so never mind.

Although some accessories built the same way (iron wall insert, wooden barrier insert, spike wall insert) would be great to have.

Sorry. Don't have ABS yet, need to get some.

JackAttack,

The Ruin Set also has a couple single floor tile's....although they are slim, you could add something to the bottom to make them the right height....

Not quite JA - the ABS2 floor tiles is missing on 1/4 of one square rather than 1 whole square as you detail above.

Just an idea - you could do a pack of single floor tiles. Fiddly but VERY useful. You could do a small "fiddly floor set" as an accessory size pack. It could be made up of:

Single square floor pieces.
Half square floor pieces (two types, diagonally cut and straight cut)
Some speciality floor pieces like special runes/markings.

Like a WA set but just for the floor.

I think a "Giants Lair" set would be cool mainly having a bunch of 4 square wide hall way pieces would do the trick.
