Would have to think about it, but I think I would be more inclined to like an Advanced Builder 3 instead. WE I and II we use often when we do use DF. I did use the red columns today in one room. Heck. they only made it 2 rooms today. 2 Transmuters tore them a new one and the party retreated. Party lost one character that was first Baleful Polymorphed into a mouse and then turned to stone by a Cockatrice. Lead TRA pocketed the statue.

I would love to see a wall with a skeleton manacled to it in a WA set. Also maybe a corner with other dungeon rubbish. Come to think of it I wouldn't mind seeing a decor set of dungeon trash. Dead adventurer's skeleton, broken furniture...

Totally agree with Shadbelly. Dungeon rubble would be very cool, and not like what we have in Ruins set. I have been perusing the Hirst Arts boards and the best looking dungeons have walls that are partially collapsed, miscellaneous rubble near the walls, sets of broken stairs, etc.; stuff that really ages the dungeon. One piece in particular caught my eye, a section of collapsing wall being supported by wooden beams in an attempt to stop the collapse. Very cool.

Reading comment, I have to agree that we might need a "spells affects" set.

Firewall is done, there is a flaming sphere availabe in DnD minis.

What about all the other spell effects? any ideas?

I really need dead bodies and dead skeletons, but I think it is outside the range of what Stefan does. He did go to minis in the past and it was not a success.

Several spell effects cannot be reproduced as solid objects...following the firewall, maybe a wall of ice..
But...what about some gates/portals/teleportation areas...or some walls or floors with illusions?

I have some things that I am dying to see from DF. Mostly accessory style stuff. A bookshelf would be sweet. any type of furniture really, desks, wall decor maybe. A boat, to go with the water sets that I don't own yet. Maybe even some of the same pieces already out there just reworked into a different version...like the Tomb piece for example. But maybe after removing the lid, its a hidden staircase going down instead of the body. Definitely need to have CRYPT LIKE pieces. Like the dugouts in the walls where they put the bodies up to rot. I cant think of what they are called but...Also some large urns maybe. Alchemy tables, an alter,a THRONE! Big solid iron doors with like a barricade would be sweet. Oh, definitely an entrance piece to a dungeon similar to the ROTA entrance, but for the regular dungeon and cavern sets as well. Spiked walls... Spiked floors. Ummm??? How about walls with the holes in them that fire arrows when a trap is triggered? Mushrooms! I agree that a sewer set would be awesome. Maybe come out with a new Room and passage set That has a different flooring pattern or style with muddy puddles or small brick. Maybe even just dirt. Or has shorter walls, like half walls. Perhaps a Room set that has Taller walls.Dont get me wrong when I say this, cause I love my DF, but when its all set up, it looks extremely plain until you furnish it. These are some of my ideas that I feel would be a great success.

I like these ideas!

An arch done as a circular opening in a 4" wall, lined with stone blocks (or a metal ring) with runes cut in them (it) would do nicely as a portal, but remains useful as an arch. Add a stone or metal plug to seal it up as an accessory.

Stairs down in a crypt is brilliant. Not only is it atmospheric as heck, it provides that little bit of extra thickness to sculpt with.

I finally looked it up, and a burial niche in a wall is called a loculus, plural loculi. A standard 2" wall with a pair of stone panels to represent sealed loculi would be great.

Tall walls. What if the extra height was arched, like the new double doors? It ties the tall doors and tall walls together thematically, offers real and suggested height without completely impeding player view, and works individually or individually. In addition to solid tall/arched walls, there could also be a tall arched gothic window.

Many more good ideas, but I'd put them in other sets or accessory packs.

Keep 'em comin'!

So many great ideas here. I'd love to see...

- some more elaborate columns built into the walls (a common Hirst Arts theme)

- a well (higher walls than the Fantasy Floor version, smaller footprint)

- bring back torches! more torch brackets, or other kinds of flaming braziers

- the classics we've been requesting for years:
- torture devices! rack, iron maiden, shackles on the walls
- library accessories -- bookshelves, desk, cabinets
- temple accessories -- pew, pedestal, dais, curtain, tapestry

Yes, more accessories - preferably in bigger, more themed sets.

A prison/torture room set?
Evil Magician's study?
Goblin Lair? (piles of dung, weapons, fires, tents, bed rolls, food carcass etc)
Library?
Guard's room? (bunk beds, weapon racks, piles of cards/dice, door with spy slit)
Rubble/dungeon ruin set (I mean lots of 'plonk down' pieces)

Let's look at what is in WE3:
(1) Slimed Short Passage - real useful, not

(1) Snake Archway - how many arches can you use?

(1) Passage Stair - now this is useful, but I picked it up aftermarket.

(2) Gothic Window - how many windows in your dungeon?

(2) Large Pillar - 2 large pillars with the extras for sale in DOE motif. Not good.

(1) Thin Short Passage - could be useful.

(2) Oak Door w/Iron Bands - more doors?

(1) Giant Double Door - ditto

(1) Fountain - bought one aftermarket

(4) Curved Wall of Fire -cheesy

(2) Straight Wall of Fire - real cheesy

(2) Corner Cage Piece - nice but would need 3-5 sets. Might like these sold separately in sets.

(2) Straight Cage Piece

(1) Cage Door

How about something really useful like 30 and 45 degree turns for walls and passages? Not every turn is 90 degrees. How about doorways and side passages in hallways?

Brvheart- the "Wicked Additions" sets are much more about cool features than map layouts. Its the Advanced Builder sets that tend to focus more on what you're asking for here. It seems that folks have been asking for curved passages and that sort of thing for awhile now- hopefully its either in the works or at least on Stefan's mind for a future set...
