The Curved Passage Piece is an old favorite, and we occasionally get a call here on the forum to release it individually. I have a couple of ideas for additional curved passage pieces that would give our set-ups and mazes a very different aesthetic.

In the image that I hope is attached to this post, there are six pieces on the Left and one on the Right.

Left, extreme top left: a round passage endcap, cos dead ends are fun.

Left, top left and bottom right: a Y-intersection (put two together for a long X-intersection), so that curved passages can branch and multiply.

Left, lower left: the classic Curved Passage piece (yay!).

Left, top right: a Curved Passage piece with an opening on the inside wall, to allow access to spaces "outside" the passage itself.

Left, middle: a circular floor piece, cocked to allow the grid to match up with the grid on the Curved Passage pieces. (This might actually work better as four quarter-circles.)

Right, top: a fanciful curlicue end to a (curved) passage, with just enough room to hold a small skirmish or stash a little treasure. (This piece would measure approximately 7"x5", so might be too big to be practical.)

Right, bottom: a Short Curved Passage, which allows us to get that 45-degree angle I keep going on about. (135-degree angles, too!)

And just to show that curved passage pieces wouldn't just work alone, tacked onto the edge of a set-up, here is a room with 5 Curved Passages, 6 Curved Y-Intersections, and 3 Round Passage Endcaps.

Imagine the fun as kobolds (or whatever) come charging into the room, then pretend to retreat only to come back in through the next wall opening -- or worse, actually do escape when the party tires of chasing them in circles.

Another brilliant idea with great pictures! You sure you don't work for Dwarven Forge?

Very interesting layout, looking at it, this might just get coppied over to be used with something similar for the Sci-Fi in a lay out i am working on. While the is no curved Y bit, the T might work as well and give some of the same effect, toss in Tony's interior spaces and this may solve (though it might not) one of the problems i have been running into in this type of layout.

Sorry for the bump. Here's a maze that uses more curved pieces than any rational person would ever own, but I still think it's cool.

And I added a Short Curved Passage to the first post, for 45-degree turns.
