I've a lot of DF fantasy and cavern sets, but just received my first Medieval Building set (the expansion) today.

I know I'm preaching to the converted, but it's amazing - possibly, just possibly my favourites! The detail is just exquisite.

The challenge now is how can I get my party back from the Isle of Dread and into a tavern... doh!

I am late, but would like to say that I'm really looking forward to mine. Although they are my Christmas present so I am not supposed to play with them until then.

Hmmm...

I don't have any of the MBS yet either. But a friend in my gaming group brought his over. I really love the detail in them and can't wait to get my own. Its going to be my next order. IMO all the DF stuff has to be seen, touched to see how good quaility it is.

MBS was one of those sets I just drooled over for MONTHS in anticipation. I remember taking print-outs from the web and those Dragon magazine ads to my LSAT prep class so I could stare at them. In some ways it was more revolutionary than ROTA, since it was the first time any DF was designed to be an "above ground" location. It blew me away. And the expansion set combined with the tavern accessories... wow.

But I've given up on ranking my favorite DF setting.... they all have their own unique, spectacular qualities. Caverns, ROTA, DoE, MBS... it's all outrageously cool. (and SF!)

I'm thinking the next Wicked Additions set is really needed to remind us old-schoolers how much we used to love basic Dwarven Forge dungeon stuff back when that's the only stuff there was!

I just got my first three MBS sets (2 MBS, and 1 expansion) on Monday. They are as great as everyone says. I can't wait to actually use them in a game!

As L said, it is hard to judge a favorite set. I've always been a big fan of the Sci-fi series. They certainly get the most use at my house. The ROTA is by far the most detailed, but probably the least used. They're all good.

My sets: 20x Sci-fi starters, 7x Alpha's, 3x Gamma's, 4x Beta's, 6x Passage; 3x ROTA, 3x ROTA II; and more Dungeon and Caverns sets than I feel like counting (or want my wife counting).
