You amassed quite a large collection...sorry you have to sell it off...fortunately, it's not hard to resell them as they are very durable, proof of a good investment I think, especially with the Limited Edition Sets we now make....

may I ask what happened to make you need to sell them? Just curious. Hope I am not prying...

A couple of reason actually.

1). One is medical reason's. I recently hurt my back and might be looking at back surgery. Do not have that much sick time.

2). I just purchased the SUltan game table. WHich is paid for but it took my saving that would of gone to the unexpected possible back surgery time off.

3). Also little one came along unexpected.

4). Apparently my wife says we do not have the space for it all.

5). I love the stuff but have actually used it maybe once a month if that.

Sean,

Wow. Congratulations on the "little one" Sorry about the back, I recently had a Hernia Operation at the start of the month...so I feel for you.
That Sultan table is awesome, it's perfect for DF stuff actually, so too bad you must now let your collection go...hope to have you back soon.

Good Luck!

I JUST came to the conclusion that I will keep my DOE stuff. Because no more is going to be produced. In fact I might keep the all the Classic stuff to. Have to talk to my wife some. Just because I just purchased most of it in November.

Yea I love the DF stuff......so I'll let every one know that contacted me. The Cavern stuff is still going which seems to be the hot stuff at any rate...or most requested.

Plus your right I purchased the Sultan for DF, even though it is great for other games, it was mainly purchased for DF.

Hey Sean -

Glad to hear you are going to keep some! I was up in Alaska two summers ago...wish I could get back and throw some dice with you on that AWESOME gaming table!!!

Anything you sell me, I'll sell back to you at the exact same price, whenever you ask...so if you ever find yourself in a better place in terms of finances & storage, just send me an e-mail and I'll sell it all back to you!

Harneloot, I appreciate that, but the decision to keep the items doesn't affect with what you decided to take. Except maybe I keep one set of four of the diagonal walls. Want to make sure how many I have first. Plus sorry the straight cavern walls since they are not offered except in the River and Walls set. SORRY!

Wise to save the limited stuff, wish I had some DOE. I have traded with Sean before and it worked very well.

I might be looking at the Disk Replacement... apparently it is a 6mm herniation. NOt sure how that compares to most people. Just two years ago it was 2mm. Its just aggravating that it keeps coming back. I have not had a real problem with it for 2 years. But have had issues since 96'.

L-5 to S-1....HOw was the recovery? THis is what I am worried about.

Plus just updated what I have left. I did keep the DOE items as well as the CLassic line.

THanks all,

Sean

Wow man, I had two years ago a L5-S1 Hernia too. Disk totally broken (ouch!) Several months of recuperation) Several private asociations surgeons wanted me to go to a operation, they told me all kind of scaring stuff about not walking anymore (they get money for each operation), and even after operation not running or practice sports.

It was all lie. I went then to an osteopath. It was slower, perhaps a little expensive (not much) for every season. But here I am now. I lift weight, run, swim, climb, and every single thing I've ever done. No pain at all.

Just my experience (which, in time, I've discovered that is the same experience for a lot of neighbours, co-workers, etc). Hernias are a lot extended in our society. :-(

But don't dispair! really!

And by the way, congrats for the little one!! :-)

Wow man....good luck. I may need to go to a doctor again soon myself as I have trouble sleeping from back pain...and I wonder if it has something to do with the hernia, which now should be healing... i have stopped taking the pain killers at least....it was an umbilical hernia...it's all terrible for me since I have no health insurance...at 42 years old it seems my body is falling apart:(
Well, lets be optimistic.

It took me four weeks to recover from a microdiskectomy at L5-S1, but I was tender and a little weak for another month or so. Do more of the physical therapy than I did, I think it will really help.

I had a herniated disc a few years ago, but didn't have to get surgery. Did a few weeks of physical therapy, and have been doing regular exercises since then to keep it up. It keeps me feeling okay, though I sometimes have bad days. If I ever want to be fully cured of this and just forget it ever happened, a microdiskectomy is inevitable. I didn't want it at the time, as I was just starting law school and couldn't spare a month. But we'll see. For now, I'm trying to pretend I'll never have to face it, but that seems unlikely.
