Would you buy this set if Dwarven Forge ever decides to release it?

Well, this subject has been covered a lot, but I have to say -- I vote "probably not"

Yes, it's a great looking item.

Yes, with a little imagination it could be more than just a stadium for "A v. B" fights.

But the fact is, there is SO MUCH that can be added to the fantasy and sci-fi settings, I don't see how this should be a priority. It's so expensive, it would be such a pull on the limited resources of the company (and the retailers!). It could be a disaster if it wasn't successful, and this company is too small to take such risks.

I like the approach they've been taking -- scaling down, $50 add-ons, more of them per year, etc. One massive thing that doesn't quite fit in to the rest of the line (bc it can't just be "plugged in" to the modular setups) seems like a misstep to me.

Look, I'd love to have one. I'd also love a Minas Tirith and an Orthanc and the Towers of High Sorcery and a full line of 12" Dragonlance figures. But just coz I like it doesn't mean I think it's a wise business move.

I Had to Vote if Under $500.00 But that is Really with a Whole lot of Qualifiers...

First of all I Doubt that it Could be Released for anything Less than that...

Second it would Likely be More so it is Safe to Say...

Third I Agree with L, if I were going to Spend $500.00 at one Pop and there were a bunch of Kewl Fantasy and Sci-Fi Doo Dads Available I Would Buy them First...

Fourth If I Had a Choice of One Expensive Specialized Item that Could Halt Production on Further R&D or The Knowledge that DF could continue to Grow I Would likely choose the Later...

Etc...

All of that having been Said, I Do think that it is a Kewl Potential Set, (If unlikely), and I Would Love to See it Upclose and even better get a chance to play with it...

I can't see myself spending this type of money for one item with very limited usefullness.
