Okay, I'm making this up as I go, so bear with me. This is very similar to something I posted a while back, but I don't feel like resurrecting a dead thread.

If we had pieces that were the height and width of a Pedestal, but were 2" or 4" long, then we could put them against walls (with a Lower Stair for access). We could put benches or chairs on them to create seating. Put more benches/chairs on the floor in front of the pieces, and we'd have tiered seating.

Tiered seating translates to an arena. Or a lecture hall. Or a council chamber.

Create similar (addtiional) pieces at half the height of a Pedestal, and the effect is even better.

These pieces can also be put in the middle of a room to create a dais, or elevated walkways of some kind.

Thoughts?

A FANTASTIC idea jackattack!

I would by a massive amount of these, especially if they were available in single square sections as well.

Excellent idea. I use the pedestals so much that I'd welcome a set of 2, 4 and maybe 6 inch long pedestals. I use them for ramparts too, and it would be great to have bigger pieces to drop down quick.

Also, if a circular room/tower set is made in the future a corresponding pedestal piece could be made to use with a circular staircase piece. This would make a completely modular system for creating an amphitheater/arena/council hall tiered seating set up. It'd be amazing. Plus a circular pedestal would be great for stand alone altars and such.

Does that make sense?

I'd be interested in a bunch of these too. I'd like to put them on top of the 4 X 4 water pieces to make sewer channels.

A guess it will be a nice addition for the third ROTA set, although it sparks the question:

What about those who only collect the original/standard lines -such as MM or Sci-Fi?

Could we have a generic, "individual" piece released to support these lines as well.

Yeah, this is an awesome idea. Walkways, seating, risers, shelves, half-walls, ramparts... the uses would be many.

For any set, including Sci-Fi: Just simple plain old half-size (2x1") and quarter-size (1x1") floors without bowties would do.

A set with *many* of those would offer a hell lot of possibilities. Rooms/passages with an odd number of floorsquares only being the first that comes to my mind. This would make even more sense when combined with the half-wall and half-corner pieces, so door openings would have 2 squares again. Or just juse the doors of the narrow passages set...

Actually thinking about it, I am tempted to get some floor pieces and take them right to the bandsaw...

For Sci-Fi at least there are some in my mind needed basic things, before we start getting into Tiers. Some of the great advanced things like the new MM set is getting. The half and quarter floors, the same with walls are really needed to flesh out, er in a setup. To fill in the little odd ball spots that crop up so much more in Sci-fi than with the classic sets. Tony Griffon has done a decent job on some of them, but we still need more, i made some from HA, but they are a bit of pain to do.

Also while we got some GREAT accersories, darn i want more, there are few we still need, yeah some are made by other compaines, but i got to paint those, and well i have the same darn things in every set up, i like to change it a bit so more is better.

So for the Sci-Fi line i'd want to fill in the basics first some more before we get into new stuff.
