I think that the mine set is definitely the best idea ive heard. The posssibilities are endless. Not to mention that fact that its dwarven forge and none of the environments seem to really grasp the dwarf feel.

Also some other great ideas i like are the dragon den, crypt, and sewer sets seem very interesting.

I think though an expansion into none dungeon areas is a great idea to really open up the playing field. (u can only be down in a dungeon so long) The tavern idea, forest floors, wooden walls, and roads are a good way to open up the playing environment. U could almost start a new class of sets like (reality sets or environment sets or civilized sets, something like these names) would give u a field that i think would much better than the sci fi sets.

Also before im done more of a simple idea that could be completed quickly
HALF WALLS
not like the ones in the advanced builder set but half the other way. half the height. i think this would be very useful because is a n alternative for adding rooms together and it would be great for characters w arrows to hide behind creating a unique feel and really open up what can be done in the dungeon environment.

Thanks DF kicks serious rump

Before I Had a Chance to See a Picture of the "Half-walls" I Thought they meant 1" instead of 2" High... I Could Not Figure out what I Would Do with them... 2" is Pretty Short as it is...

With the half walls and some metal bars conected out the top this would make jail walls So you create a torture room in it or have bodies shackled to the wall. With a sweet bolted door in a set of these You could make a jail anywhere then. I think its a simple idea that could be cool.

Or Even Just "Bars" In Place of Wall Sections? That Might make a Nice Conversion Piece...

i agree w that. That would definitely look really sharp and i would use it often. The only thing is the porticullous is very brittle at the ends so i would have to think that might happen w these, but i think a stone strip on the bottom and top would give it that extra strength so it wouldnt break on me.

I Guess Toothpicks painted to look like Steel and Cut down to size would make nice Conventional "Bars" I Have Not tried Drilling into a 2" floor Piece so I Have no Idea How well they Would Hold Up, but that Could Anchor the Bars just by Glueing the Toothpics into the Drilled Holes. A Small Strip of Plastic across the Top of the Bars Would give it a "Finished" Look... Maybe even Use those Plastic "I-beams" (Used for Architectual Modeling), that you can Buy at Art Supply Stores and some Hobby Shops... For a "Grate" Pattern or for a Door, Ordinary window Screen attached to a Plastic Frame Looks like Cross-hatch Fence... (For Futureistic Scenarios Cut the Screen Diagonally for a "Diamond" Shapped Chain-link Fence Look)... And of Course Plastic Strawberry Baskets are a Good Resource for "Steel Grate"... Wire Cutters Can be Used to Cut the Ends off of the Pins you Get in Every Dress Shirt you Have ever Purchased, these Make Very Nice "Rivits"...

Ordini,

Thanks, I Have Done a Bit of Scratch Built Modeling for My Own Game (A Sci-Fi Thing), and although I Have Not attempted to Mod a DF Piece I have Been Quite Curious about potential results... As to Pics... I Have No Functional Digital Camera at the Moment and it is a Bit Low on the Priority List but You Are Right I Need to Give it a Try and Post a Pic at Some Point...

Ordini,

Yes a Post Apocalyptic Cyber Fest... Blade Runner Meets Mad Max Stuff... I Have Been Writeing and Re-writeing for Years, Every Time I Think it Could be Close to being "Done" I End Up Tearing the Whole System apart and Starting Over...<Grin>... I Used to Think that this was a Huge Flaw in my Creative Process and that it was a Clear Indicater that I Should Never Entertain The Fantasy of Publishing... But Over the Years I Have Seen that it is Actually the Natural State of things for RPG's they either get re-written or they tend to go away... Some Companies (Or at Least Francises), have Made Spectacular Careers out of Getting People to Buy the Latest Version only to Upgrade Later... I Started to Get Suckered into Buying 3rd Ed stuff... Held off... And Just imagine my Suprise when Sure Enough 3.5 comes out... And Bang All new Books again... It Is Tedious... So Maybe I Was right not to Publish Huh? I May Have Spared some poor Joker Having Seven Separate Barely Campatible Game Systems with the Same Name and little Support for Previous Incarnations... That Having Been Said... I Actually like 3rd Ed...<Smirk>... As to Pics, a lot of my Stuff is Scratch Built Vehicles, Bunkers Stuff like that, and None of it relates Directly to DF... And of Course the Camera Issue...<Takes Breath>... Ok... Next?...<Chuckle>...
