Replacing the felt bottom. Anyone know were to get that felt? 6 Years, 11 Months ago
As you may have read in another thread, I recently stumbled upon a large collection of Master Maze. In addition to all the boxes of stuff, there were a bunch of used pieces that had at one time been glued down to a board. Removing them from the board tore off most/all of the felt on the bottoms.

Does anyone have any recommendations for replacement felt? Ideally I'd like to find the same / very similar felt to the original.

Thanks!

I have had a few of the felt bottoms come off, and made some HA items, and have used as Harneloot suggests Felt from Michaels Craft stores. I like the one that has a sticky side to it, it stays very nice. It is a Tad thicker, i have yet to find anything that is spot on, but it works very well.

I'll concur with the others about the felt at Michael's. I've used the self-stick sheets quite a few times for some non-DF pieces that I picked up. Make sure you cut it just a tiny bit smaller than the bottom of the piece you are putting it on.

That reminds me... need to pick up some more next time I go in.

Thanks guys! I picked up a couple sheets last night. They work great! It's too bad they are thicker than real deal. Makes the pieces with the new felt just a bit taller than the ones next to it.

Maybe someday they will sell sheets of the real stuff in the DF online store! :-D

Hi there,

I have some older DF pieces that do not have (never had) felt/velour/flock on them - including stalagmite sets and flat rocks and various other individual peices.

I live in the UK and wondered if anyone had experimented with the various flocked and velour papers available here to see what may be a good match?

Hello Firetracker,

Sometimes we don't attach felt for the small pieces like stalagmites and rocks that will sit ontop of other pieces so that they do not get that little seperation...without the felt they will be slightly more flush. (Sometimes I use double sided tape on the bottom of those pieces to keep them from sliding around)

Stefan, if there were any way you could sell sheets of the 'official' felt used on the DF pieces, that would RULE! Normal felt is so much thicker than that stuff. :-(

Another thing I'd love to be able to buy is empty Styrofoam containers that DF ships in. Or at least the Styrofoam lids. :-)

Oh, and packs of the torches from the Deluxe Room Set. I need a pack of torches! :-D

Actually, I'll second the call for purchasing a pack of torces :) I seem to have misplaced a pack of mine.......not that it's a great problem since I've got some of Yansolo'sLED torches :) But the completeness freak in me is screaming at the void in the box!! :)
