Others have already suggested Den of Evil themed furnishings as well as ice and lava themed sets, but I had some specific ideas I wanted to share in hopes that they might generate interest and that DF may make these sooner rather than later: themed furnishing/dressing sets. More specifically, what I'm thinking is a few furnishings sets similar to the Dungeon Accessories or Medieval Furniture sets but with specific themes. There are a few themes that come up again and again in D&D and similar gaming. Rather than have a whole set of floors and walls for each possible theme, I'd rather use more basic sets like the master maze dungeon or medieval buliding sets with special furniture and dressings to add the themed elements.

The main themes, due to coolness and frequency of appearance in campaigns, that come to mind are:

Dragons
Snakes
Bats/blood/vampires
Spiders
Demons/devils/gargoyles (somewhat covered by the DOE sets already)

It would be great to get a furnishing/dressing set for each of these that had a throne, statutes, altar, fountain and doors with the theme integrated in it. For example, how cool would it be to build a yuan ti fortress with regular dungeon pieces or DOE pieces and then furnish it with an altar with snake carved in bas relief and a snake at the head of it, a statute of a snake or snakeman. How about building a lair of a dragon's servants with dragon shaped doors and a dragon shaped fountain? Or a vampire's lair with a coffin with bat wings and a fountain of blood with a bat motif or skeletal motif? Or a drow dungeon with a spidered themed throne, doors, etc.?

I like the idea of more furnishings. Not 100% sure about the themed furnishings though as is more setting specific and may not appeal to everyone.

I would rather more generic furnishings to start with, specially more in the sci fi line.

THen, perhaps we could consider themed items. And, possibly rather than very specific themes, perhaps consider broader themes. Like Draconic/reptilian........vamps/undead/necromantic?

ie paint with broad strokes in the hope of at least grabbing more attention and perhaps greater demand from the fans?

All of the proposed pieces -- throne, statues, fountain, and doors -- can be done as stand-alone accessories, rather than attached elements of a floor tile or wall piece. That would allow each piece to be placed in any environment, as opposed to having a Fantasy Snake Throne and a DoE Snake Throne.

I'm not sure if it was clear from my original posting, but I was talking about separate, unattached furnishings, not furnishings attached to floor tiles.
