TOPIC: Lava Cavern Set

Lava Cavern Set 8 Years ago
I just got the new Gigantic Red Dragon from Wizards and it occurred to me that there might be interest in a Lava Cavern set. Seems to me that there would be many uses for that addition to the cavern line.

Love the whole DF line though. I have to tell this story. My kids are 15 & 14 respectively and I just began a regular gaming night of DnD. The group was comprised of many of their computer-gaming-raised friends who had no idea just what DnD was all about. After the first session, I got a note from one of the visiting kid's dad - he said that his son is telling all of his friends that he has never had so much fun playing a game. I must say that the DF pieces are a huge part of the experience and look forward to whatever the imagination and passion of the developers take them.

A Lava or fire based set has been talked about as something that may be coming later on.

But if you are in a hurry/want it now it's actually not that hard to make it yourself.

I copied the design aspect DF used on the rivers set to make a Lava river set of my own,
Check out this thread First attempt at Rivers of Lava www.dwarvenforge.com/dwarvenforums/viewtopic.php?id=1352

For some pictures of it in use in a game and just for fun.

Stefan;

Type-A just restates what so many of us have been saying; You make a good product, you get good reviews. You sell us crap, we flame you.
Have you noticed, you don't get much heat from the forum? Other than when we start arguing amongst ourselves - which can produce flame wars hot enough to melt Titanium?
What can I say, guy? You make GREAT models! We LIKE your toys! We LIKE your prices (as compared to anything even remotely similar)! We LIKE the attitude of Dwarven Forge as a company! We LIKE the way you and Jeff and Lori and Doug try desperately to keep US happy, and to respond to what we are asking for (Usually; we still don't have the Moon, yet)!
Keep this stuff up, and you'll NEVER write a video game (we hope).

See ya!
