Hey I believe this stuff goes in the flaming board, not Fantasy set ideas... :?

I don't think anyone was flaming here. The only master of this domain is Jeff. Your ideas and comments are as welcome and apreciated as well as anyone else's. I was just in a rather silly mood in my last couple of posts. So go ahead and put in a quarter:) :D Besides, I get tired of only reading Lord Void's posts

Hey I gave up becoming no 2 poster here. Every time I would get within 30 you would let lose with a flurry! Thor having computer problems or something? Haven't seen him on here in over a week. Starting to get worried.

What a class act.
Im impressed and thanks.
But back to something interesting.

Realisticly what kind of set do u think is going to surface next. (by which i mean after the floor set and cavernous lake and stream.)

I personally believe that DF is doing serious consideration in the multi level idea, and if so im most excited. Definitely has the potential to be the best set to date. Thats what i dream about. (Set after set i would pretty much buy any set that they created, i havent been dissapointed yet)

Stickler,

Yup we're Real Classey folk... <Smirk>... And Friendly like too... As to Other Sets, Admin has Hinted at a "Fantasy" Set along the Lines of WE but we will not get much info until later (I Think Oct/Nov was sited for Information)... There is at least a New Door, and Diagonal Floor Piece in this set... (If I Understood the Posts Correctly)... Also there was Talk of a "Special" Wall? And as we have asked about Tavern Sets Jeff has Commented that "Something" is in the Works (Not neccessarily a Modular Tavern set , but something "Close"), and that we will be told more towards the End of the Year... What do you "Want" to see Next?

Im a big fan of the mine idea, it will probably never happen but i would definitely be behind it if it ever were to come about. I think though the sets coming out are real exciting but id like to see a whole more of the accesories. Although their small the work but into the items and stalagmites and etc are really quite amazing. I really find a lot of pleasure in setting these objects in different ways to create new unique set ups. So maybe id like to see a accesories set. Far more expansive then the previous ones. Maybe a hundred dollar set crame packed W LITTLE GIZMOS AND TRINKETS FOR THE PCs to marvel at.

Yes there has been a lot of Interest in something Like a Wicked Additions III or a Traps III Etc... They (DF that is), Have already Slated the End of the Year for the Next Set of Expansions for the Sci-Fi Series, which Even for those Who do not Game with Sci-Fi Systems, Well... Even D&D has thrown the Odd bit of Mysterious Tech into the Works... So this Set Could Be Potentially Useful to ALL... As to Giant Sets... I am Curious about the New Strategy of Smaller Sets in the $50.00 Range... Which is to say that I wonder if this is a True Shift in Concept so that all Future Sets will be in this Price Range or if it is Just an Experiment... I Can see advantages to Doing it Either way...

The word I got from my FLGS is that all the sets will be repackaged in smaller sets. Don't know how accurate it is, but it would make it easier to afford new sets.

While I Agree that a $50.00 Set is easier to Afford than a $109.00 Set, my Concern is in terms of Sets Like the Cavern Set, which having Less than 2 of is pretty much Pointless as it is... So What would Come in a $50.00 Cavern Set, Would We Have to Buy 5 of them to Equall 2 Current Sets in terms of Content? It is a Tough Call because the Reality is probably that less Expensive sets will in fact Sell better, but Just look at the Intro Sets on the Sci-Fi Stuff... There are not Really enough Pieces to do more than Wet our appetites in Either Set...(Of Course I Still in tend to Buy Some)... I Suppose though that only Time will Tell... Maybe DF can Initiate some Package Deals for those that Would Buy the Larger Sets if they were Available or something... Like a Cavernous Deluxe Package that Came with a Couple of Each Set and Take 15% off the Total Price if Ordered together or Some Such...

I think having a 50.00 cavern set is a great idea. The key is having the right pieces in it. The only sets I really buy any more is the Room set and the Short Passages set.. I can use EVERY piece in those sets. With the Carvern set however, I really don't need any more dead end sections or complex corner sections. Having a couple of each is good but.....

For a Lite Cavern Set I would suggest just having the basics. Three walls, three floors, stalagmites, and a twisted conversion section. Or something along those lines. What I would like to see are sets of the basics. What it comes down to is that we can never have enough walls and floors of both the cavern and room sets.

My last order included 6 twisted conversion pieces. Why? Because they are multi-purpose. I can use them as passages in a crunch or I need them to connect rooms to passages. Have sets with different combos of pieces that we use all the time. Doors, walls, floors.
