Well, I'd say that it's only worth getting sets you like, regardless of whether or not they're going away. If you like the narrow passage set, snap it up while you can! But if it doesn't thrill you, it's certainly not essential.

The obvious first set to get is Room and Passage, since that's the foundation for almost everything else. Of course, if you're like me, and space is an issue, you may not want to use the passage pieces as often. I like to fill every inch of table space, and that means rooms adjacent to one another, not connected by passages.

If you care to skip the passages, go with the Deluxe Room Set (just like the room set, but cooler!)

Then one of the Wicked Addition sets (or both, if you can). That's where you get most of your fun elements -- spiral stairs, mermaid fountain, etc.

Finally, get one of the accessory sets, either furniture or dungeon accessories. The furniture set is probably my favorite, but it's nearly impossible to pick just one. The chests, barrels, tables, it's all fantastic. And then there is the treasure set -- another winner. At least one of these three is essential -- but all three are worth getting.

That is probably enough to keep you busy with regular dungeon building.

Both cavern sets -- the regular cavern set and the cavernous passage set -- are spectacular. Again, it depends what you want to do, but if money and space were REALLY an issue, I'd almost recommend just those two over everything else. With just those two sets, you can make some really unique, eye-catching displays.

That's what I'd list as the most important intro stuff, but of course de gustibus non est disputandem -- in matters of taste, there is no proof.

It all looks fantastic, thats the problem :)

Space is a semi issue, so thanks for the input.

I hope that DF can let us know if and when this is going to happen. I would like to pick up a couple more sets if that is the case.

I agree with Everything "L" said. That is exactly what I myself would recomend.

Toms post was a little harder to understand (Being in French)

I liked to photos - Even the real scary ones with the small baby obviously about to destroy everything !!! Must have been a faked photo, French Tom would never ever let something like that happon! (Big Grin)

Sad to see the narrow passages go. But honestly I don't really use them as much. But I need em to do small 1m x1m crawl ways and things.
I'd better order extras before they dry-up........

My son has 2years old, and he is already able to play with DF.
He makes little room like we did when we was playing lego

all that for saying that there is no age to start with DF, and a very rich man could offer such a present to a very young boy.... :D

that is not my case
but when i keep my son i like playing as well so i have to make effort and that 's what happen...

Wow - I have 35 Yr. Olds I don't trust with my DF. They seem to want to touch the set-ups only if they have food/dipping sauce on their hands.

The DF stuff is kinda like lego!! Glad to see your little one getting involved. I can tell from his outfit he's going to be a great DM because he wears his pajomas to games just like me !!!!! :D

Yep...I'm afraid it is true. We just sold our last sets. The Narrow Passage Set is no longer available on this site. There are still plenty out there in the distribution channel so I would get some soon -- if you want more. We would rather invest the development money in NEW sets rather than make a whole bunch of an older set that does not sell well. Because of factory minimums we have to order a lot at one time. Sorry that we did not alert you here sooner. We will have this type of info in our monthly newsletter. Sign up now.
