Well, I guess the image upload is going to appear this time.
Does the new WEB page prohibit the posting of pics in certain areas of the forums?
I cannot get the image upload portion of the posting page to appear over in Sci-Fi products topic area.

Therefore, here are the Beta set pics that Jeff posted before the hack.
I am not including the individual pieces; just the sets.
Enjoy!

I too, am excited about the SF Beta set.
I just hope that they will be offering far more than just the 6" walls separately out of the set.
I can see the curved floor pieces being quite useful if you can buy a number of them.

Then there is also my constant refrain of "More doors please!"
The frames from this set will be useful to me, but I will have to use doors from WorldWorks and Ebbles minis in them.
I just have absolutely no use for forcefields!

Passages just are not that terribly useful in great numbers, and SF Beta has five of them in it.

Hopefully Gamma will be a really useful SF furnishings set and be out by GenCon Indy '06.
That would be a great con to introduce the SF Gamma set at.

Hey that is an interesting way to post pic's. Well. I like the pieces don't get me wrong, they are awsome. That said I wish the numbering was a bit diff. Well for one there are many corridors. If you get just two sets that woule oviously be 6 curved passage and 4 strait. I maybe kinda think they could have given just one of each curve and strait and added 2 more long walls, and 2 more curved walls with backs. I don't know why but I am dissapointed that the doors don't come with both inserts. I don't know why I thought they would but it would have been nice. Iam going to get two I know " unless I get fired at work or join the peace core or something " but I don't want so many corridors. It was the same reason I did not pre order 3 DOE instead of 2. Now that I have it though I don't care and want another set... THANK YOU FOR POSTING THESE!!!!

I don't quite understand the 3 curved passages either. It is not that I would not like passages, but in many scifi-games I know, you need loads of straight passages. But how many games have curved floor passages? Especially since except for optical reasons, they only have the same use as the rectangular ones which have already been in the passage set. So I would rather prefer 3 or even better 4 straights instead of 3 curved ones. But of course that is just me...

Wolfgang,

The Three Curved Passages in the Set is a little Odd... I Can See the Curved Passages being Particularly Useful For Space Ship Set ups (Follwing the Curve of the Hull), and perhaps in Arena-esque Set-ups for FPS Games Like FRAG... But Given a Choice I Might Prefer 3 Straight Passages and Two Curved...

Personally, I would like only two of each passage with another 6" wall tossed in along with normal doors that could go in the door frames if you did not want to use the forcefields.
That combination would move me up to buying three, maybe four sets.

If Beta had only one of the curved passages and two of the straight and had the doors and wall I already talked about with an additional 3-4 curved walls with floor piece, I would then start to think about buying 4-7 Betas.
The passages just simply limit the acquisition for myself of the Beta set to 3 sets or less.

That many passages in a single set might be useful in a fantasy set for the dungeon crawl enthusiast, but it is a serious waste redundancy for the SF gamer who has "real" places to reproduce.
