Hah! That is a great set-up!

You'll have to check out the novel Tales from the Mos Eisly Cantina. It has a short story of every person in the cantina (including the band pictured above) and every story somehow intersects with the moment that Luke and Ben meet up with Han Solo and Chewy. Great stuff.

Love the set-up!

Dang! Now I have that catchy song from the band in my head! :)

The band is all the same fig, from the recent expansion to the Star Wars minis game, Universe. They are common, which is why I did the band -- I pulled about twenty of these guys putting my set together, so I felt somewhat free to mess with five or six. Problem is, there aren't that many instruments I can sculpt or convert myself, so I stopped at four.
 In any case, I was happy to have these guys in the set. I just repositioned them, turned the gun into a musical instrument, and painted the shirts and sleeves black (and the hands flesh toned).

Law,

Another great set of pictures! Really enjoy the effort you make in putting together, photographing, and posting your set ups.

I'll be looking to you for tips on integrating HA and DF particularly painting schemes.

...<Chuckle>... Quite Worthy... Question though, When You Reposition the Limbs, do You always just Heat and Bend? Or Do You Cut and Paste Sometimes?

If I'm just fixing a warped figure, I heat and bend. For conversions, I cut and glue. With SW minis it's a lot easier than with D&D ones, since most of the figures are humanoid, and their limbs re-position pretty easily. I usually use green stuff to fill any gaps -- in some cases I have to use a LOT, and I'm not that good a sculptor yet (you may notice that one band member has VERY lumpy arms...)

The Only Two I Have Attmpted to Date were pretty Simple, (Gave a Jawa a Light Saber for a Friends Jedi Apprentice Jawa), and Transfered the Head of the Female Twilek onto Another Body (The Tentacles Never did Reposition very Well)... In Both Cases I Used Tiny Pieces of Straight Pin, a Tiny Drill Bit and Superglue... I Have Been Envious however Since You First Posted Your Dead Storm Trooper...<Smirk>...
