Looking Back at your Pics I Can See the "Nested" Totes... What Made You decide to do that? At this Point a lot of my DF is (Unfortunately) In Storage, so I Have Not Grown out of my Plastic Drawers (I Have Two 3-drawer Units)... Plus Three Plastic Utility Drawer Units For the Smaller Pieces, Traps Furniture Etc... Once I Get all of my Fantasy Stuff out of Storage I'll have to re-think my Current set up...

I came to me while putting my DF pieces in the deeper tubs. Corners and walls did not fill up the deep tubs, and I just found that the old drawers fit into the deep tubs just fine. It was an afterthought...

So the Drawers are more Anguler? Interesting, do you lose a lot of "Storage" area that way?

I would lose more storage if I didn't have the drawers nested. They fit fine inside the larger bins.
And I only put them in the bins that have smaller pieces, like corners and walls.
So it allows me to easily setup 2-levels of space in one storage bin.
Pics 4 and 5 of the pictures above show it fairly well.

Hope that clears it up for you.

So Did I misunderstand this? Do You Have a Layer of DF inside the Larger Bin, and then on top of that rests the Drawer Full of Additional DF? (The Small Bits)... I Had been Envisioning The Drawers simply being set down inside of an Empty Larger Bin, And I was Not Getting how that would Improve Storage Capacity...<Chuckle>...

You have it right now. Big bin has a layer of small bits. Drawer that fits inside bin has another layer of small bits. 2 layers of small bits in one bin. That about covers it!

Roger that... This makes a Whole lot more Sense...<Grin>... I Have Fantasized about Having a Wheeled "Cabinet" That had Locking Drawers, and also Locking Doors, so that it Could be Transported upright To Cons and the Like... Maybe make it Some What Stackable to Facilitate this...

Here is a short update. In preperation of the DOE I had to buy some more storage space. The old boxes are no longer available at IKEA. There are some pretty similar though. A two drawer version comes already with some metal signs on - I went for the cheaper version.

These are three drawers high. But you have the option to buy 3 wide or replace the wide ones with more narrow ones. While this is useless for the first few boxes it comes in handy for small stuff once you have already most of the big stuff stored away.

Here are some pictures:

The first one are two of the small boxes. The deviders are custom inserted. These are really, really useful. I suddenly have started using the bow-ties.

The second picture shows how it fits in with the old boxes. Still need to make some labels for the new boxes.

The last one is the old box and how the DF fits in. The new box is lower (2 mm), wider but less deep. This is pretty ideally used storage space (apart of stacking pieces). The cavern pieces are more a problem as you have to group them correctly to fit in well.
