They were always some of my favorite toys, those Micro sets.

As far as SWM goes, I'd say that anyone who has them should dust them off, they're neat. But considering the prices on the secondary market, they probably aren't worth picking up JUST for SWM. They don't work with the bases that well (though the figs are roughly the same size)

The Death Star ones are particularly useful at the edge of the map -- plop 'em down backwards and their walls make great 3D Death Star walls. Bespin is less useful, largely because it's designed around a duel and a) there's no Bespin Luke in SWM and b) the catwalks are too narrow for SWM bases. Hoth is probably the most useful, I used it in the pics I took of the AT-AT model. The generators, turrets, and trenches work really well with SWM, and make a great backdrop for a Hoth battle. Plus, with the official WOTC AT-AT on the way, who doesn't want 3-D turrets and generators?

Nice pics. although I am yet to be convinced about Mystic Blocks especially since their return to the market is fairly brief.

I'm really happy with my MB pieces, the vines and fungi are very well done.

At the same time, they are one of the purchases that prompted me to get HA molds, and since I did that, there was no turning back. For anyone looking to expand upon a DF collection, I'd say go with HA. You can make whatever you want, as much as you want, for an initial $35 investment. Sure, you'll want more than one mold if you plan to make whole buildings, but if you just want to make your own walls and things like this pit, one mold will be enough. And you can paint it up however you want, and you don't have to worry about HA going anywhere.

Well, I don't think that how MB has returned to the market must be something to worry about. Everything they have can combine very well with DF, so, every release, will be spice for DF, if they don't continue their work... you'll have what you have, and that will be ok, I think.

In the home of mystic block they announce soon new releases:

"Fans of our old classic Marblized Floors we will be releasing a new Checkerboard piece. June 2005.

We are also working on: a Castle Wall, and new Tower. Look for those in Early June 2005.

Around July 2005 - Murky River sections.

Sept 2005 - Fountain, and Wall Mural.

Stay Tuned!"

I'm expecting to June and July to see what happens.... and that doesn't means that I'm not going to take some Dark World stuff... sure I'll do!!

I will even say that I hope DF release in the future more types of ambientation, (piramids, palace chambers...) so, unless only one ambientation cannot be used to base all dungeons (like master maze do), it gives the potential for variety that I like... :)

Kewl Set Ups... (And Boy L You Got Buku SW Stuff, Seems Like Every Few Weeks You Post Something Else...<Grin>...)

I Like the Look Of the New Stairs from MB looks Basically Like The DF Stairs but as a Single Piece... I'm Thinking those Stairs Under the Hole in the Floor Piece? Might Make an Interesting Transition...?

But expensive! Yipes!

It would be nice if he had an introductory price, or some sort of incentive to give it a try.

I'll probably buy some eventually. Right now, I have to save for Dark World.
