___________________________

So, a few thoughts. Please forgive any misspellings or ramblings - it's been a very fast paced few days.

1) Every single piece of the new Dwarvenite Caverns and Add-Ons look spectacular. I was surprised that the water tiles have a small "cut" in the bottom of the tile itself to make them **even lighter** than I was expecting. Detail is HIGH - they really look KILLER.

2) The paint on the Lizardmen, and the dwarvenite figure sculpts hold up really well. I wish I woulda snagged these, and I hope they go to the store at some point.

3) I did not see Jeff, though I did speak to Sandra Garrity for a few moments. Very nice, kind, classy woman. Was a cool experience.

4) While I did not get any pics of the ice caverns - they look AWESOME. Anyone who purchased them is going to be REALLY happy.

5) Stefan really is the nicest guy on the planet, and you can just FEEL his excitement towards his product, and about gaming in general. He had a ton of people to take orders from, but was talking with everyone, answering every question, and had no problem pulling to the side for a moment to take a shot with me - thanks for that, Bud!

Any questions? Ask me here, and I will try to help you all out as much as possible. :)

More goodness, more things to notice...

how cool is it that the opposite corner water pieces can combine with the 3/4 land pieces to make a tiny meandering stream... i like it

rubble "ramp" is rapidly becoming one of my favorite pieces... i can see having to fight your way up it... or the ball rolling down it... lots of good stuff can happen with a piece like that - can't remember how many i am getting, but i wish it was more - it is an instant nominee for a small pack of 4-8 pieces of just that item (open water tile pack first please... please make these with THIS shipment so they are available in the store in 2015!)

Curved stair looks much better next to a flat than it does next to another curved stair

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the pics guys! From the looks of the water tiles I am definitely glad I ordered the pre-painted ones. I don't think I could paint them anywhere near that well. They were some of the few sets I did.

What is the white 'foam' at the bottom of the waterfall piece? I can't tell if it's part of the piece itself or cotton etc. to give it a more dynamic look.

And yet more pictures...
Details, lets see...

The rat men are still original greens, being sculpted by Sandra Garrity at the Con, as noted.

The 2 altars work well as a pair of embalming tables in an Egyptian tomb.

The three mummies w/ 3 sarcophogai have an interesting feature; each has one distinctive equipment or treasure, a gold crown for one, a gold necklace for another, etc, and each sarcophagus carving shows that on the lid, the mummy at rest displays the gold adornment, and the risen mummy has the feature as well.

The Catacombs II great door has a bone-handled, toothed gear wheel that turns freely, and looks inspired by the great vault door in the Daenerys Stormborm storyline of Game of Thrones. The details on this piece are quite good.

The 4 quarter pillar pieces do not fit perfectly into the corners of the standard Catacombs corners; they can be placed in the corners of standard DF tile pieces to "dress" them into the Catacomb set. The way I was planning on using them was first to build a central Catacomb area normally, then use the corners and sarcophogai in a later (or earlier) large chamber built with other DF sets to create a transition.

Stefan shows the difference between the 4" and 6" lit walls.
