Multi-level sets like that always make me a little tingly.

Nice touch with the Miniature Building Authority scaffolding, too. I've been meaning to pick that up, but hadn't thought of using it for underground setups until I saw your pics. I'll have to move it up on my list.

Who makes the wooden platform & ladder(s) in your pics? Those look like nice pieces.

Man do I miss my game room. ;-}~

Are the Mystic Blocks pieces pretty well-made? I'm thinking of picking up a few to augment my DF collection.

Okay, it is a massive crawl.
I have to say it, "So?"
What were the mission objectives?
For what reason did it have to be so big?
And so on.

Otherwise, why post the pics MM?

Folks say here that the massive crawls are just fine.
Working on that idea then, which I understand you support, sell me your crawl MM.
Make me want to buy that much original MM so that I too can play your adventure.
In the process make the sell to the undecided gamer too.

This is the point I have been trying to make elsewhere that some got upset about.
So MM, sell the average gamer this crawl.

Hope to hear from you soon.

This is not a game setup. It was an exercise that Thor and I undertook to try to design a "neat" setup with my DF pieces. We had not done a multi-level setup before, and wanted to find out what issues and problems came from it. It was really just for fun.

Yukon, I use that scoffold for a LOT of things. Improvised watch post, mining scaffolding underground, a speech platform for public addresses...it's really one of my favorite pieces.

Dante...the platform if from miniature building authority http://www.miniaturebuildingauthority.com, and the ladder coming out of the pit in from a MageKnight set, I believe the siege engines set that includes a catapult and ballista.

Yukon, Mystic Blocks is DOA, so you might have trouble locating some. It might better serve you to look at getting some Hirst Arts molds and make your own.

Good luck!

Hey Mr Morden This is Great, thanks for all the pics. A question ecoed by another though, are those Mystic blocks just strait plaster? I mean would they chip and scratch up REAL easy or are they fairly durable like MM........ :?:

Acknowledged.

Thank you for the civil response.

I like MBA products. Guess I'll have to start looking at the wood & thatch stuff if that caugth my eye now. I've seen similar platforms and ladders (with wooden forts) that looked kind of cheap but yours looks pretty good in situ.

Thanks for the follow up!

I've been pretty pleased with mine, they use a high density dental resin for the casting media. They are darned heavy but well done. The fellow from Castlekits also does some nice work, and will entertain custom jobs as well, he uses a high grade plaster that is a bit lighter than the Mystic blocks media. Both are linked from the Hirst Arts page. Both do good work. I'll be getting more material from both companies.

btw that Mystic blocks link is home.comcast.net/~drakedavis1/ they were taking orders and delivering as late as January that I can confirm.

God bless,

Spencer

Oh yeah, I've been to the web site. Originaly saw them on Ebay and they had a link to thier site. I was just wondering cause I have bought some stuff in the past that is made of plaster and it just falls apart whith ease. Some of the stuff came cracket and such and some just flaked off in my hand with just a bit of scratching, nothing near as durable as MM.....So you say that the Mystic Blocks " as they call them " are not that bad and are somewhat playable?
