Yes, this guys stuff is great, I have bid on some of it but has gone beyond my price range. I particular was a pool of water on a cavern size floor section that was just awsome......

Those are really nice, but I have to say -- it looks like it wouldn't be too expensive to do that on your own.

I'm in the middle of moving, but once I've moved, I'm going to turn the T-intersection from the cavernous passage set into a pool. You can take epoxy, tint it, and make it dripping slime, really easily. Paint some toothpicks and glue them to a wall or floor for spikes.

Or invest in a $30 Hirst Arts mold and $4 worth of plaster, you can make all sorts of ruins, columns, etc. I've posted pics before.

There are lots of ways to customize DF into something for cheap, I wouldn't want to invest a lot of money in buying someone else's experiments.

Of course, if you don't think you could do as good a job, it's different....

EDIT: Well, having looked some over, I do have to admit, some are quite nice. The fire pits I could probably do, but they wouldn't look as good. The most impressive is the golden face wall -- the face itself wouldn't be THAT hard, but he's drilled holes through the eyes so that characters could "peep through" the eyes from the other side of the wall. Now THAT is a sweet touch.....

I Think my Favorite Piece Might be the Slime Hanging from the Doorway... Very Kewl that... And I also thought that the First Picture, the one of the Floor Spikes and the Lever were Both Clever, and Usefull.

These are exactly the kinds of conversions my friend back in Michigan comes up with. He's been making little scenery and terrain pieces from plumber's putty for years.

I really like the lever on the floor. That looks really cool!

ebay, reminding me of (just saw an auction of his floortiles):

do any of you know if pieces are compatible with DF? I like to have some of those pretty mushrooms and such to complement and enhance my DF collection....

From what I understand they were made to be compatible from Hirst Arts. If you look at the customer photos from the link you posted you can see that they seem to be compatible. I had looked at them at one time, but they had closed their order page. Now that they are back up I may order some when I can afford to buy more. I spent my DF allowance for the time being on another cavern set and extra passage pieces.

DF walls are generally 9-10 mm thick, and the HA blocks used by Mystic seem to be the regular 1/2 inch thickness, or 12.5 mm, making anything with an HA origin a little fatter than DF. The DF passage pieces have walls that are about 1 mm thicker. You can avoid drawing attention to the thickness problem if you are careful about what you place where - passage pieces butting against openings in HA wall sections look fine, while lining up a row of wall pieces next to each other can look really bad - putting the different wall pieces at right angles to each other is preferable.

Yes they are pricey I was bidding on the corner with the chains and a small barrel but it went over 30 bucks and way out of my price line.... Is you go to that link for the mystic blocks and clic on the Customer Photos link you can see that like Willypold says you can blend some of them together carefully. I really like their Ruiins......Very nice....Espeicaily for the Lizzaar Men....

I wish they had better pics for their sets. They are so dark it is hard to tell what they look like.
