RabidFox, you mentioned missing the shots I posted a few months ago with SW Action Fleet vehicles. Here are some shots of various setups with them...

Here are some attempts at "wide open spaces" in SF. I don't have many sets, so my options are limited, but these capture a bit more of what you seem to be imagining, RF.

My most recent setup involved this little tower in one corner -- it looks messy, but I think it's funky. Kinda "Metropolis," "Blade Runner" "Brazil" kinda messy. (not that it actually resembles any of the art design of those films, but the clutter reminded me of them)

I Guess "Busy" as Opposed to "Messy", like a Thug or Bounty Hunter could be hiding in any Corner, Sorta' Necromunga-esque Perhaps... I Really Do like the Additions of the New Terrain Features...Nicely Done...

Okay, so I'm in my local Toy Store and come across a bunch of SW Action Fleet stuff marked way down. So I'm gonna get it as accessory pieces for SW Minis layouts right...

Well, it just so happens that I was looking at a Tie (the prototype that Vader was in in the Trench in Episode IV) that I bought for my kid sister years ago last week it was the one that came with the Flight Controller:

Am I insane to think that the size of the flight Controller Tie is slightly bigger than the regular Action Fleet X-1?:

For some reason the scale between the two seems to be different, what do you guys think?[/img]

No your not insane, there have been a few size versions of the Darth Vader TIE X1 floating around, even in the Action Fleet line itself.

So other than the landspeeders, what other Action Fleet pieces lend themselves particularly well to SW Minis scale-wise?

The Action Fleet Falcon and Sandcrawler are definitely out.

Most of the Fighters, X-wing is pretty close, A-wing is close, Bwing is abit off and so is the Y-wing, but close enough that it isn't that big a deal espically if you are looking for Cover etc, it's good enough so that it feels ok but they are a bit short. The TIE's (LN, IN and XI are all close enough that most people don't mind if they are off by a bit, same with a Defender if you can find it...) Basically anything that is not a Space Transport ( The shuttles, the Slave One, Any capital ship...), the Naboo Fighter.

the AT-ST is actually very good, the Rancor isn't bad, the Skif is a bit small, but you can just say it is a small Skiff, Dewbacks and Banthas are all pretty in scale as well, Jabba's Dias...

That's what i can think off of the top of my head :D
