that waterfall is awesome...mine is much simpler.....

oh, and here in NY, If I take my girl out for dinner and drinks I easily spend $125 or more...but the next day and forever afterward there is no waterfall....tickets to a ball game, or a play...I don't even want to talk about it....

It is perhaps a matter of the local standard of living. I have shown the piece to my wife and players letting them know it is a one of a kind handcrafted piece and their opinions were also a value of $20-$30. I asked them what they considered an absolutely outrageous price and they responded anything over a $100. Perhaps we are not privy to the current market on these, but $125 is a LOT of money for us down here. No offense was meant on my comments to the seller or buyers. I am quite aware of the time invested in making terrain pieces as I make my own which I tried to sell down here. The local economy does not support paying for people's time like that. We have Mexico and China to compete with at 50 cents an hour:( I spent over 40 man hours on my waterfall and a $200 investment in materials. As far as personal taste, though I prefer Oldmanwillow's style.

@ Tattooedtoad.... Your miniature pics are cool.... but I want to see more of your cavern type creations... after all they are all yours and very creative...and I know if I want to see them that a lot of other people would also.

@ Brvhrt... same request to you... I don't like the way you comment on posts but that's probably just a miss understanding. In other posts you said you had a hard time selling stuff... post some pictures here so we can see your work... maybe I'll buy some of your stuff with all the Profit I make selling mine.

I will have to resize the pics on most of the rest. I have actually never attempted to sell any of my stuff on here as Stephan's original policy was against it. That and at 2'x2' they are not exactly easy to ship. The pass is my latest project.

keeblerorc - you are a wicked man john, and i love you for it! - The version with the hole is EXACTLY what i want and i WILL order one from you in the future (right now as an old roommate used to say "i am so broke if it cost a nickel to poop, i'd have to throw up!") - i agree with others that the new water is way better, i like the clear at the top to more blue at the bottom, it is a gradual fade, but it looks very realistic - as always AMAZING work

tattoedtoad - holy cow that is some nice sculpting - i really LOVE the last mushroom piece - i am jealous of those with the time and skill to sculpt... someday! - please keep sharing your work, it is inspiring to look at

@brvheart: With your boards at a 2'x2' were you targeting more the war gamer rather than the RPGer? I ask because your boards remind me a lot of the kinds of boards the local guys made for their 15mm WWII games.

@keeblerorc: I have to admit I like the one with the open hole better than the closed hole. But I am sure you will make them work either way. :-)

I have borrowed a lot from the wargamers and model rail roaders yes, but it still is quite usable as outdoor terrain for FRP. Your party is exploring a great waterfall that is the lair for some monster, you arrive by ship at the docks and quite a few scenes can happen there. The players have to navagate a swamp to get to their destination but it is filled with all sorts of nastys.
