OK, I tried a few new things...

These are both in the early stages, but I'm pleased with how they're starting to come out.

This is a green version of the Fire Clan dragon -- I was thinking originally of changing the wings, but I like the green fading into the translucent red.

This one started out as a gold, but he's looking more bronze now. In person, the scales look a little brighter, or I should say, the distinction between the gold scales on the back and the bronze scales elsewhere is more vivid. In these pics, it all looks like a big bunch o' bronze. I'm not sure how to go about fixing it, tho'.

Ok so the Gold Started out as the Same Color as the Black Dragon in another of your Dragon Posts Right? Is that the Same Dragon? Or do you have Multiple Models?

I have multiples. This one started out as the bluish-green one with a white belly and black stripes. I got two extras, painted one in black, and another in gold.

The model is so nice I was originally thinking of doing one in green and one in red, too, but I think I'm done with him. Three of this guy is enough, plus I'm getting sick of painting it.....

Law,

Heh-Heh-Heh... I can imagine it would get old Painting a Fig that size over and Over... Since you seem to be an Avid Dragon Fan, What are your Thoughts on the White Dragon Zombie in Death Knell? You Gonna Repaint it too?...<Grin>... Seriously though, I thought it was a Kewl Idea for a Fig... We'll have to wait I guess to see how it looks...

As a dragon addict, I like most of the WOTC dragons. The only one that disappoints me is the Huge Red. It's decent, but for all the trouble getting it, it should be better. Even if you're lucky enough to pull it early, it STILL should be better to justify that sense of "Look how lucky I am to have pulled it early!"

The Large Red is nice, though, and I really like the black, the blue wyrmling, and the gold. The only one I think I don't like as much is the bronze wyrmling, it's too generic and bare. And, of course, I wish the black were BIGGER.

I like the white zombie, but I may get my hands on two and use some green stuff to make a reg'lar dragon out of it. And I REALLY like the look of the large blue, but I have to see it in person before I know how good it is.

In general, I think they're neat, but they don't have nearly enough detail for my taste -- and of course, they're too small. ;)

In the realm of non-McFarlane dragons, I like, well, pretty much the ones I've been posting pics of... The Reaper Shadow dragon, which I painted as a blue, the Dragon of Fire, which I posted as a green, and of course Marthrangul. I also like the GW Forest dragon, which I posted as a green. Those guys have the size, the detail, and the poses that I want in a dragon. They're actually a little better than McF dragons, since they're more traditional and I prefer the wings and poses on some of them. But the cheapest is the Shadow at $11, and he's half the size of the McF dragons at the same price.

Nice Commentary, Thank you... I Know what you mean about the WotC Black being too Small, I never did pull one out of a Booster, mine Came from the Latest D&D Basic, And I don't Care if it's not Technically a "Rare", it is a Medium-ish to large-ish Black Dragon... (And Looks pretty Darn Kewl), I Can't remember if they call it a Large, or just a Black Dragon? Anyway, I Have yet to hold the Huge Red, but I have the Huge Gold and I like it... Some how I missed the Large Brass, and the Green Dragon but I think I have the Rest... I Like them too... I Have owned the Odd Pewter Dragon, or Dragon-like Critter here and there over the Years, but I always sort of Avoided the Larger Metal Dragons because of Weight, and Instability... So that is where the WotC Plastics really are nice, in my Less than Humble opinion, as so far they have held up rather well over all...
