After getting and measuring, the Komodo and Water, are both "huge", the Huge red dragon from D&D Minis if you measure it from tip of snout to tip of tail, is ninie inchs long, but it is all curled up on the base. The part of the body that measures for Space is just the trunk/torso of the body, minus the neck and tail (check out things like the manticor from Gaints of Legend, the Green dragon form Aberation or the Wyvren from the same set), where the head and tail stick off the base, good examples)

These dragons not scrunched up on the base show why a Dragon has the freakin reach they have, and why the dracomonicon suggests siwtching up the reach on some of the parts, like long tailed dragons more reach with the tail, the water dragon should have a Heck of swat with that tail compaired to the Komodo...

I can't imagine many things surviving getting swatted by the Water dragon's tail....

I picked up the boxed set (Berserker Dragon v. human attacker) and this thing makes hte other dragons look like little tiny wyrmlings. His wings alone are bigger than some of the other dragons.

Pics tonight -- this guy is FRIGHTENING.

I saw him... but didn't really like the Wyvren look to him... i will most likely get the rest of them when, as with all McToys. They go on markdown. I know a CVol store in my area, which are great to hit for markdowns... will pick a few of the other ones up when they hit $4.

This was genius marketing on their point -- I've been salivating for these guys since January. If I'd found them quickly, I might have passed on the boxed set and the Eternal Clan (the one on the tower) because both are wyverns and both are posed in more "diorama" ways, which limit their utility to me.

BUT -- since it took so long, I was waiting so long, I got more and more frenzied, and I ended up snatching them up immediately.

Still, I don't mind. These guys look like they'll be a blast to repaint, including the boxed set. I can always buy more on clearance later.

I'm curious to see if the boxed set dragon can be displayed without the human attacker. That guy is way out of scale for minis, he's about two and a half inches high, and his horse is proportionately larger. It would just make it impossible to display with minis.

But if I can get it assembled without the human, it would make a great fig. The pose is so dynamic and threatening, I think it would be great. And for $20, this is like a Wizkids dragon, only much bigger and more detailed. Still a great deal.

What, btw, is a CVol store?
