My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

Awesome! That is a great idea -- the dunes look fantastic. As always, a really evocative setup.

Very cool!

I especially like the 2nd picture with the close up of the campsite and the dunes rising in the background!

I have to use that for a "Al-Qadim" adventure sometime... or Tatooine!

A man with ideas is never without adventures. Great use of the tablecloth for the dunes!

I'm in love with your gaming room. Where did you get the shelving units for your miniatures?

Really excellent as ever. Your kids are soooo lucky to get into the best hobby in the world. Great for expanding the imagination as well as stretching logic, puzzle, maths, reading, writing as well as a host of great social and co-operative skill building 'play' in the world !
Now I so want to re-run my all time favourite dungeon: The Desert of Desolation.
My players all loved it and most could read the 'New Language' within a few months!

Lightbringer,

Welcome to the Dwarven Forge forum! This is really great to have so many new comers these days. Tom is a long-timer French DF enthusiast. He describes his gaming room on his own website (here). I guess you could use Google translate if you can`t read French. On his main website (link), you can find hundred of cool images of his past setups, tips, cool gaming rooms and more!

He did not do the shelving units himself. He got it second-hand from an old pharmacy closing down, if my memory serves me well.

Biowizard & Lightbringer

those are old printers trays - used to store individual letters when type was set by hand - very collectible as knick knack shelves - a search on ebay will find some (printers tray or typeset then select antique) - many have very small compartments, look for the bigger ones they work best

have fun!

Simple but very effective setup! Really does look like dunes. I love the guy riding the giant beetle, that's great. And I see that I am not the only one to rebase the MK rattletail to use as a manticore.
Great pics Tom!

Thank you for the warm welcome bio. I've been gaming for a decade and a half now, and only within the past three years or so have I discarded the old quarters and bottle caps in favor of actual miniatures. A friend of mine turned me on to DF, and when the KS started, I knew I had to step up my game once again. He had a KS account and I had the money, so we went in together on 10 sets. I'm looking forward to many more wonderful years of gaming with these products, and these forums have already got my DM senses tingling with excitement and new ideas.
