In my experience some miniatures are so silly that they are automatically awesome and the encounter is even more fun for it. Last Sunday I chose an undead Ogre Ninja as guardian of a cavern bridge. Undead. Ogre. Ninja.
I'm really happy a miniature for that kind of thing exists. Of course my players came to the conclusion that there had always been an undead Ogre Ninja present in every encounter we ever played. He just didn't choose to reveal himself. :D

Awesome! Everyone should have some undead ogre ninjas in their game! Great paint jobs and stellar layout (as usual). Thanks for the post!

Nice work! The encounters you've built look like they would be a blast to run/play in!

Breathtaking as always, Kronos! Your layouts, painting and photography continue to set the standard.

I admit, I'm rabidly jealous of your painting skills -- it is all the more agonizing because we apparently have exactly the same taste in miniatures! Your layouts are always populated by the figures I like most. This time I'm spotting a Reaper drider that I've done up in shades of black and purple, the Reaper knight with the angelic shield and flaming sword that I did in blue flames, and of course the GW vampire grave guard or whomever that I've recently been posting in Catacombs myself.

I know this kind of sentiment can sometimes sound like fishing for praise ("No, Law, you're an excellent painter, really!") but I swear that's not what I'm doing. ;) You are a stupendous painter -- if you haven't won anything for your work, you must just not have entered any competitions. Your painting is so professional it really lets me know how far I need to go. I look at those GW skeletons and it takes my breath away.

Bravo!

Great Layout.....
I just have to get time to play with all the different sets in similar use.... but then I might not want to put them away and there goes my work space...LOL

Great Stuff Guys....

As usual, a stunning setup! Your photography really is top-notch. The quality is amazing and the angles and subject matter bring to life the story of your game.

The mix of ruins and catacombs is my favorite section. Flawless integration of the different sets, even a few cavernous river accents :) If I may ask, where are the two sarcophagi from (the ones topped with a knight in repose)?

The sarcophogi are Reaper figures (of course -- more of my favorites!)

Thank you Law and Keeblerorc! :)

I know this kind of sentiment can sometimes sound like fishing for praise ("No, Law, you're an excellent painter, really!") but I swear that's not what I'm doing. ;) You are a stupendous painter -- if you haven't won anything for your work, you must just not have entered any competitions. Thank you so much for the big praise, Law! I greatly appreciate it!
Law, you are a great painter! And I don't say this to return the compliment. For example the Grave Guards you posted recently totally rock! The paint job is so great and inspires me to try the same paint theme in the future when I will run a Egyptian themed campaign.

You are a stupendous painter -- if you haven't won anything for your work, you must just not have entered any competitions. Your painting is so professional it really lets me know how far I need to go. I look at those GW skeletons and it takes my breath away.
Thank you again so very much! I am very happy my paint jobs inspire you. That is really awesome and that also inspires me to try harder to get better at painting. I'm far away from any professional level but I'm trying to learn a few new tricks right now. My progress is really slow because I don't have much time to paint but I often remind myself that a little progress is still progress. :)

Thank you for the awesome feedback that really gave me a boost of inspiration! :)

:) :) :)
As Law said they are from Reaper: Medieval Sarcophagus
I really like those! The can be opened:

And the inside is big enough that a mini on a small base fits inside:

I'm as big a fan of them as Law is. They are really creepy cool. :)
