TOPIC: My first almost decent setup

Re:My first almost decent setup 1 Year, 4 Months ago
Tried again tonight, used some of the thoughts I had from last nights experience.

Still a little too wall/corner limited until I can get a second DoE Room Set. This time I'm little closer to the number and types of rooms I want in the complex, though I liked the hallways between the rooms from the first approach better. This one was more compact to double use walls.. The first image shows the top down layout with the broken symmetry for the guards & dungeon versus the acolyte rooms/relic storage and hallway to the high priest chambers.

Pics two and three show the evolution of the raised pit. I still wanted the pit raised over the seal/black gem. But I also wanted something more try 3d (compared to 2.5D). By raising the intersection up two flight of stairs, most mini cam maneuver underneath. Might still be a bit risky about knocking over the pillars.

I tried without using a flash, but not happy with how all the details came out. I think next time I'll break out some extra fill lights (used to do some chainmail jewelry photography) and try using my real camera rather than a phone...

Way to jump head first into the addiction with 16 sets plus KS! :)

I like your use of curved corners to create uniquely shaped rooms. The entryway to your first setup with the two large double doors is my favorite. Look forward to seeing more of your setups as your collection grows.

Make that 21 sets :) Though I think I'm done until the restock. (Unless I can find a seller of a DoE:R&P)

2 DoE:Room, 4 DoE:Expansion, 2 DoE:WA
3 HS1, 2HS2 (plus assorted single items)
2 Woodland
1 used RotA I (and not the correct pieces -- all walls, no corners some walls from RotA II)
1 Classic R&P
2 Ruins
2 Ice Caverns

My "short" list for next purchases are
1 more DoE:WA, 1 more DoE:Rooms
Catacombs (2-3 + Catacombs II if that happens at the same time)
probably ~10 Cavern/river/lake/chasm sets
Not sure if I'd jump on RotA in the restock... probably since its LE, but its further from my aesthetics.
