The Temple of Fate - The second Soul Gem 1 Year ago
We had another game session last Sunday. It was a hard battle, the characters almost didn't make it out alive. And the dungeon almost didn't fit on my table. Maybe there is a connection... :D

Holy crap Kronos, these are some of the best pics you have ever posted!! This looks sinister and creepy as hell. I love that you inter mixed the columns. DOE columns in the Hellscape environ, Catacombs column in DOE, and traditional red in DOE really look great. One question, who makes that awesome large spider?? That is ferocious.
Amazing painting on your demons. Airbrushed?

Thank you so much, Arcarius2001! :)
Yes, the accessories from different sets work very well in every set. I love that (among many other things) about Dwarven Forge. And I deliberately used only Dwarven Forge accessories in this setup like the columns and the skulls because I wanted to see how well everything works together without using any additional bling bling from other companies. And it works very well in my opinion :)

One question, who makes that awesome large spider?

I think it's the this one from Reaper: Huge Spider
I painted it a few years ago and I'm not sure anymore but it looks like the one from Reaper. And it's always a save bet to say that it's a Reaper miniature, since I love their stuff (I can't wait to get my Vampire Box from them...so many miniatures!!! :D ).

Amazing painting on your demons. Airbrushed?
Thank you very much, I'm very happy you like them! :)
Yes, I used an airbrush and I'm so happy to get them done alright. I mentioned it in anther thread a few month ago, I really want to improve my painting skills and these are part of my first results of using new tools and techniques. :)

Thank you, Thorshammer! :)
We started the campaign with a mix of Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 but converted to low-magic Pathfinder at the beginning of this year. :)

Thanks!

One last question.

How do reveal all that? Pre set up and cover it? Build as you go?

I've been kicking around doing an old school feeling mini based dungeon crawl game. Maybe Swords and Wizardry optimized for minis. Kinda counter to each other I know. I just like mini gaming over RPGs as a rule.

I'm kind of watching Next as a possibility based on their design goals. The playtest reports are a bit worrying though. If be using the basic rules though, so maybe....

Thanks again!

Excellent blending of colors on your miniatures. The sword and the horns are very well done. I'm still trying to master the technique. Any tips?

That set-up is so big, so good, that this set-up gets an Awesome rating!

Just how big is your table ? How long are your layers arms ?
You sir must have a huge games room!

In some distant future when I can afford a dedicated large room, I imagine setting up a 'U' shaped table where I as a DM can sit mostly centrally and the players can move about the 'U' as they explore. (Maybe a separate table area for the local town / city etc..)
