I don't work for DF but I'm an avid collector who already has a vast collection of DF stuff. I thought I could make a setup using classical Polystone pieces to show what kind of setup you can do with 2 Game Tiles Sets with Stretch Goals reaching "only" $400000. I would encourage all DF veterans to do the same and post here!

I hope it helps kickstarter enthusiasts see that they should jump for at least 2 Sets! With 3 and more Sets, you of course can make bigger layouts but you also have a lot more flexibility, which I did not have here.

So, here's a setup with:
44x Straight Wall
36x Floor
16x Corner Wall
6x Swinging Door
4x Diagonal Walls

Here's the same setup filled with cool accessories from various sources. When you fill a DF dungeon with accessories, you really see your setup become "alive". It is not required to enjoy DF products but it adds so much to the "cool" factor. I tried to fill the place as if a group of three adventurers were storming a place occupied by wizards invoking nasty demons! My wife, who is not a gamer at all, even helped me and had fun dressing the place.

Very cool. Stefan, perhaps you can link this to the Kickstarter page? More people will check there for updates and info than look through the forum.

Posted a link to this thread on EnWorld, RPG.net, 4chan, and reddit!

Please keep updating the pics (that is, post new pics in the first and second posts) as we hit the stretch goals!

I took a look at the $175 pledge level (the one I am pledging for at the moment) in which you get 3 unpainted sets. At the current state of the KS (roughly 353k) this is what you can build from the tier including all the pieces from the stretch goals opened up so far (i.e. without the diagonal walls).
Note that I am using painted pieces from the resin version and those are actually quite old (which accounts for the so-called bow tie slots you can see on each piece). The newer resin versions and the Game Tiles won't have them.

We are so swamped trying to arrange for kool add on's that BioWizard's work here is much appreciated! In a week or two we plan to do a video update or two and they most definitely will include shots of where we are at...so ANY help anyone here can offer us to spread the word is MUCH appreciated....as many of you already know we are a tiny outfit...mainly just Jeff Martin and I...and our friends! real Grass Roots! I have been having to buy dinners and beer everywhere:) Friendships have been strained over this last month...but, it has been worth it I hope:)
I have the BEST Friends!
and the BEST collectors!
At this moment, I feel like the Luckiest Gamer Alive!

I am very grateful, and we are trying hard to make this even better:)

Even though I went in for 5 painted sets (I always need rooms!) I thought I would share a little tavern made from the classical line with the equivalent of 1 of the kickstarter sets. That is 14 straight walls, 6 corner walls, 2 doors, and 12 floors.

This is for any disbelievers of both the cool things that can be done with diagonal walls, and the value of having separated diagonal half-floors.

I know, it is Realm of the Ancients, not Classic. I used only corners, straight walls, diagonal walls, floors, and diagonal half-floors, though. I figure a little advertising for the limited edition sets can't hurt... ... and I actually don't own any of the classic sets. I suppose the Game Tiles Kickstarter will remedy that to a certain extent.

Obligatory bird's eye view. Diagonal walls used = 4. Diagonal half-floors = 4. Basic pieces from two Realm of the Ancients #1 sets.

An elevated dais is created by daisy chaining diagonal half floors, and topping them with diagonal walls towards the rear of the room.

That looks like a perfect spot for an idol, pulpit, or altar of some sort. Are those some doors over there?

Hrmm... looks like it leads to a closet of some sort. I wonder what they keep back here?

Is that a hole in the wall? Yeah, I can see a something on the other side. I think I can squeeze through.

Look over there. I see another hole in the waaaaaall. :: Falls to his doom through a trap door. ::

I'll spiffy it up with some other pieces and dungeon accessories in another thread.

So, I don't know about you, but, I am looking forward to those diagonals. I know Stefan and Jeff are working hard to make it happen. :)
