Cool idea :D ! Are the pieces stable? Or is it just cool for photos?

Very Cool.

I like the nesting cubicles in the walls, especially with the little dragons in them.

#$@@!

That's very cool.

I have to admit, I'm usually not a fan of using DF pieces "unconventionally," i.e. turning them upside-down or sideways or using floors as walls, etc. I have my Hirst Arts molds and they allow me to make fully real environments, and the DF stuff is so detailed I love it for the same thing. I just can't get around the "improvisational, use-your-imagination to fill in the blanks" feel of using DF in a non-traditional way.

HOWEVER -- using the cavern pieces upside-down like that, man, that really looks great. I have the same question -- is it stable? I can totally see the appeal of making little closed-off cavern areas like that, with bogies lurking in the darkness. Those dragons look mighty cool in that environment, it reminds me of the paintings on the covers of old Dragonlance modules back in the mid- to late-eighties. Very cool stuff.

DarkFather,

Right-on... That is a Kewl Dragons Lair Concept for Sure... And might I add, that-that is a Mighty fine Collection of the New Red Dragons! In Fact this "Might" inspire me to remove some of the Wonkier Skeletons from their Bases and Scatter them about a set up like this one, or somthing like that... Maybe WotC will come up with Some Halfling/ Gnome Skeletons then you could do a "What if" adventure, where the Party is Hired to Go Find out why Bilbo and Party Never Returned...<Heh-Heh-Heh>...

It's almost enough to make me want to buy the Fantasy line, but to get that enough to do that... a little to much for me.

Wow! I never thought I would get this sort of feedback, cool. I guess not having any HA stuff caused me to have to think outside the box for this design.

Surprisingly enough... it is rediculously stable.

(secret.... I used peices of packing foam cut to the right height and width to 'mount' the upside down peices)

These photo's are a little blurry though, so I am going to try and re-create the scene after typing this post, and see if I can't get some better pics.

Hmm.... Just had a thought. Wonder what using the DF scenery (like the pics above) to make a cliff (minis climbing up/down it to get to a Griffon Nest) would look like?

Oh yeah.. This idea used up the peices from 2 Cavern Sets to create.

yipee... new thoughts on how to use my DF scenery while I wait for the rest of my DF order to arrive in Australia....

**Please Jeff, could we possibly get the DF that was ordered by Australia here quicker? (Only 1 major distributor in Australia, that I know of).**

Heya Guys...

Here is a few more shots of a 're-creation' of the Dragon's Nest including a small dungeon.

Remember, this is done only with 2x Cavern Sets, and a single Cavernous passage set.

These show the whole nest and a good portion of the dungeon itself...
