That is really nice Thod, I`ll definately take a clear one, or even one tinted ice blue if you can.

Strangely enough, I was on the verge of making a suggestion on the appropriate thread, but I`ll mention it here as well as it`s apt.

I really enjoyed playing the Icewind Dale II PC game a while back, and particularly liked the Ice Temple that featured in part of the game. I`m pleased to see that things are going to be quite hectic for Dwarven Forge with the Game Tiles Kickstarter set up, and it might mean a severe drop in specialist sets, but I`ll go ahead anyway.

Basically the suggestion is for an Ice Temple style set that is made from translucent material, like your dice tray, but of course very light blue or clear. I still envisaged some hand painting work to pick out features made from solid ice, metal or stone, so that it is not simply Master Maze you can see through.

I will attached a few reference pictures that I sourced from the web. They are a guide only, and obviously any pieces would be freshly designed.

Have a good holiday, you have earned it. I will say hello at Salute.

Thod,

I would like an amber one, clear one, or whatever transparent one you do.

Yeah, I'd like to be added to the list of "want ones" when you have them for sale. I dig the unpainted, translucent amber. That's pretty cool.

I had asked for one earlier in the thread, but to clarify color: I'd like the generic DF-style one (the one used in pictures). I like the ability to use it as a mini fighting arena.

I really like the Amber one, but what color felt would you want with it? Brown maybe, or black?

That looks great !! I'm afraid a dice tower (as shown) won't be that easy. Hirst Arts is great to build up this beautiful sets but for this I wanted to have it in a single mold - so I wouldn't need 20 castings.

Everyone else

I have a list of 9 of you now (with 10 dice trays on the wish list). I've started casting - but it's a slow process. To ensure full cure it takes 1 1/2 - 2 hours before I'm ready to do the next one. Yes - once it's done I'm able to do other stuff (like getting up to date what has happened here).
So far number 3 (in black) is in the mold. Everyone who posted here will get preferred handling and I won't put any up on my webpage until they are done first. Seems I need a lot more amber ones ...
The (ice) clear one will be last today. Clear resin often takes longer to cure.
I would guess it takes me approx. 2 weeks to get all of these done. I'm having a normal job as well and this is more something to do on the side while I have fun doing so.

I will work on pricing later today. I should have your details if you are registered with the same account name on the EU-side. If you are from the US (or elsewhere) - drop me a message via the EU site (contact us) or drop me an e-mail thodsbazaar add loesel dot freeserve dot co dot uk

I've just started making my own wooden dice trays. I felt the need to pop in here and praise your craftsmanship Thod. Excellent looking work! I am not in a position to order one from you right now, but I will be looking into getting one from the site later. I have this problem where I collect things... I think my wife is contemplating an intervention!

On another note, do you personally ever use rolling cups? I unfortunately have started collecting those as well and I am considering making some too.

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

Whoa! I love it! Thod, any chance of still selling one of these, and what might I expect shipping to NJ, USA to cost?

Thanks in advance.

I joined DF just 2 days ago. What lead me here, oddly enough, was a dice tray, specifically this dice tower. This particular project is just fantastic. It sparked my interest in trying to build something like this, although it makes my wife nervous; messy, messy.

Because I'm serious about thoroughly rolling my dice, allow me to ask, has DF ever made these?
