@Rodenbach - Keep us posted. Looks great! Will you be doing only the spill over or will you be doing the corners also? Just curious.

Just typing aloud:

If the central 'pile' was substantial, then any corner piece used to make a 3 x 3 set-up or even a 2 x 2 set-up would naturally include a series of 'corner' pieces, that just by switching them around 180 degrees could each make a raised pile piece that can be positioned in the corner of a room . ??

A 3 x 3 setup:
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

A 2 x 2 setup:
1 3
7 9

Parts 1,3,7 and 9 are corner pieces that could also work turned 180 degrees in a corner.
No need for an additional piece. ?

Naturally all the edge pieces will have seemingly random wobbly edges so that some are more rounded and others some less pronounced etc, but they could all raise up to a common height so they can all be neighbours to each other in many combinations.

Re:Seas of Gold 9 Months ago
OK, I understand.

In fact, I will do 2 different corner pieces :

C A C
A B A
C A C

One corner at 90° like the C here, so you can do figures like this :

C C
C C

C A C
C A C

C A A C
C A A C

And another corner at 270° like D here :

A D
... A

So you can do a bit more complex figures like this :

C A A A C
C D B D C
... C A C

And to answer your question, for the central piece (B), I will simply use the normal tile piece that I already make. The height is calculated to correspond to the height of the normal DF wall. So you can make some gold cascades :)

@all - not being mechanical I do not understand the difference between the normal corner and the corner 'd' Is that the corner that would go from level 1 to level 2? Just curious. I got lost.

Maybe those pictures can help you to visualize it.

The first is a 90° angle and the second one is a 270° angle :

90° angle

270° angle

Is it clearer?
