Thank you all :)

As we were takling about Scrooge Mc Duck, here some pictures of the last pieces which are compatible with walls and corners.

I love the modularity. Could you tell us more upon how you made it?

Well, it's a bit tricky. To craft treasures, you'll have to work backwards. First, I create the mold with sculptey, making little hole in it. You'll have to think it as the negative of your treasure. Then I cast resin in this mold to get the master piece which is the positive. Wash it and you have the first positive master tile. Then you go further with the classical process : silicon mold and resin casting.

Thank you Shadox, it's my first 'triple' :)

I would like to suggest 3 more modular pieces and then this would be even more insane. I would give it a quadruple YRTFW. all pieces would have the same footprint base that you have now. Then 1 piece would rise from floor to DF wall level plus second level df floor piece plus the height of your current treasure pieces. Like a staircase going up of treasure. Now if you think of the last piece I described as the stairs going up in Rota 2 now you need the corner piece that looks like the other staircase in Rota 2. The third piece would be the inverse of the corner piece for a bowed corner fat on top and skinny on bottom.

I would LOVE TO COMMISION 2 sets of treasure plus several of those three new pieces i described. I could build 3 dimensional treasure piles that would be SICK!!! A real scrooge mcduck scenario.

I will trade DF gift cards and/or kick starter pledges.

If you decide to take my commission my contact is dm "underscore" horn "at" hotmail "dot" com

Wow Shadox, I though about seas of gold, but building mountains of gold is also ambitious ;)
I think it is possible. I will try to do so ;)

But I didn't planned to sell those pieces. In fact there is an issue with my tiles. These are a little shorter than the original DF tiles. +/- 1,5 mm shorter. This is not a problem when I use the tiles to create a big treasure in the middle of a room like in the first pictures. But when it is used in combination of walls, it makes a big difference as it makes an half centimeter difference for 3 tiles. So I will have to rework all pieces to get something that fits well.

@Rodenbach: I am curious about what you mean about the difference in height and why it would matter. Can you post a picture so I may understand?

Re:Seas of Gold 1 Year ago
So the footprint is slightly smaller than a 2"x2" DF tile. Not a problem in the middle of a room, but visible when the pieces are placed between two opposing walls (and more so the further apart the walls are).

Have you considered making (some of) the middle pieces thick enough to stand in for actual DF floor tiles? Maybe build your masters on "spare" floor tiles so the measurements are spot on? Would that free up valuable tiles and expand floor space in a setup, or would it create more problems than it solves?
