Law,

...<Chuckle>... Making Statues is a Good Option (I'm thinking a Few Militiamen/Men-at-Arms Would be Kewl Statues in a Great Hall or similar, maybe place them on top of some of the DF pedastals)... At some point it will probably also be an Option for me to Take a Few of the Commons and see how they can be modified...

Good job. The moss really adds an extra something that makes them seem like ancient statues.

Heya Wicked Cool;

The Pillar is a Reaper - Pillar of Evil.

The Dragon skull is from an 'OLD' Citadel Dragon mini. The skull is used as a mount/block of sorts for the front half of the dragon itself.

With the 'statueing' of the DDM minis, all that was done, was coating the minis in watered down wood filler (paste form not powdered), and then texture the wood filler with a large canvas painting brush by dabbing the hairs into the filler. As the brush is removed the filler will make the rough finish all of it's own. (Don't make the filler too watery, otherwise there will be no 'solidness' to it. Once the wood filler coat is dry, then paint with Citadel/GW Codex Grey, and wash thouroghly with Blank ink. Then drybrush lightly with Codex Grey, then a mix of Codex Grey/Skull White, then finally a light drybrushing of Skull White. The moss is Citadel Flock (like sawdust, not the fibre type flock), and whalla! Insta Statues. The whole process took my son only 4-5 hrs to paint the 12 minis in the pics above (statues), including drying time for the filler.

The Reaper - Pillar of Evil is a completely different story... try 30+ hrs, minimum.

30 Hours... Yikes... I Have a Couple of Tattoos that have 25-30 Hours in them... (Not in one Sitting mind you, more than Five hours at a Pop is almost impossible, for me or the Artist, generally prefer Four hours or less), That Hurt plenty... Can not imagine Spending 30 Hours on a Mini...<Chuckle>.... Course that would be why your Miniatures are so much prettier than mine...<Grin>... Then again I have a lot more than 30 Hours Logged into more Video Games than I care to Count, So I guess it is a matter of Priority!
