Goblins in the Dwarven ruins 1 Year, 7 Months ago
Greetings Everyone!

Today I was setting up for an upcoming game. I don't have the miniatures in yet, I wait till the players enter that area but I have the room décor done. Simple story, village is plagued with goblin raids at night, enter the heroes, villagers hire them to help, into the cavern to the ruins of a Dwarven stronghold that was over ran and defeated by the goblins (while mining the dwarves broke open a passageway that led to a goblin city. the goblins then flooded into the Dwarven city) clear out the goblins, (also find the "hook" for the next game, cave in the passageway into the goblin city, get out alive. These are low level players (3rd-4th level)

We have a fun campaign, my wife, 2 sister-in-laws, brother-in-law and me.

Knight,
This sure looks fun. I WISH I could be there to be any player *wiping drool off the screen.* This sure looks fun as well as excellently supplied dungeons. WOW! To the skull room.

Thanks monkplayer, I have been a gamer since 1989, started with AD&D, and use it still. I have been into Dwarvenforge early on, I have had many years to collect props to fill in a dungeon.

Great looking dungeon. it is laid out nicely. great transitions, and the decor is awsome. I see a blacklight in front of your dm screens , what do you use that for?

Greetings everyone,

Thank you for all the feedback...

@ Lordannilhus, Thank you, I still have to add the above ground covering, so I will be adding pictures soon.

@ rydendragons, Thank you also for the like. I have 2 black lights that is used for night encounters (if its dark enough in the room), I also use it with a ground fogger with the Dwarven Forge sets for an eerie effect.

@ HeroQuestFrance, Thank you much!

@ Shadox, thank you very much, that's my first "Rocks the free world!"

As I told Lordannilhus, I now will lay down some thick cardboard sheets, then cover that with a green battlemat, then add hills, tree, a small pond, the village and some odd and end items. The PC's after accepting the villages request will have a few hours hike to get to the goblin cave......maybe I have it rain on their trip ; )

( I will add more photos soon of the top covering)

I will take photo during the game and post them after it's over.

Greetings Everyone,

So here is my cover up. I use stiff cardboard or old board games or foam board works great!

I then add the landscape props and fill with villagers. I added a small graveyard, the ruins of a church, a fishing pond, small woods, the village and someone looking for a good time behind the village.
