Thanks for sharing. I think I'll have to buy some of those trees. Great find.

So, I just got an order of trees from SAMtrees. Thanks, biowizard, for suggesting this source.

They really hammer you on the shipping cost-- for me it was like twice what their shipping page indicated it ought to be (it ended up being over $50.00). But, they did arrive shockingly quickly (about five days from Hong Kong to Vermont) and in perfect condition, and I definitely like the look of them. I'd certainly recommend this outfit to anyone looking to create a small forest.

I got a pretty similar mix to what you got, with the addition of a few conifers and a few fruit trees (for a small orchard / jungle understory). I'm planning to mix these with a variety of plastic palms and cycads I picked up on eBay to create a tropical rainforest for an upcoming adventure. But first I need to create a bunch of bases for the palms, which just have the "pin" bottom typical of model railroad scenery.

Well, you obviously found your trees... but the guys at Studio Level do some cool work and shipping is less expensive (though the trees are pricey).

You're welcome Griffin Tamer.

I really have to ask Feymous where she got her own trees as they really look far better. I guess these are much pricier and/or are sold necessitating assembly.

@ biowizard - Thanks, but I looked at the closeups of your trees and the quality looks similar to what I've got. I suspect that it's either the mix of trees (variety makes the forest more realistic IMO) or my photographs (pics might be more flattering than real life) that makes them look good. With few exceptions mine are all value pack, ready made trees.

While not as nice looking as some of those trees I found these at hobby lobby shop.hobbylobby.com/products/miniature-seasonal-trees-740829/
shop.hobbylobby.com/products/miniature-seasonal-trees-740837/
since they are in the doll house section instead of the miniature terrain section they're only $1.99 which really is a good price for what they are as I know some mini trees can get a little pricey.
