Calico Dave,

That is an interesting Idea... If the Texture does not eat the Styrofoam, then I Can see many Applications for this, including Basing! (Would need to make some sort of Plug for the Mini that could be removed)... I'm even thinking that it might be worth attempting to use for textureing a Stone Golum? In any event, the Styrofoam would be alot lighter than the Wooden Platforms I had been thinking about...

It's been close to 8 or 10 years sinse I've done it, so I don't know if their "formula" or whatever has changed, but back then it didn't eat the styrofoam. It probably goes without saying to try it on an extra piece of styrofoam before doing anything serious.

The foam platforms were pretty cheap. I think it was $10 for 5 of the 4' sections.

Hi all,

You can get a high density foam (its tougher than the open cell white stuff to) which takes a textured exterior paint no problem, especially if you give it a coat of pva to seal it first. In the UK its pink or blue and used for insulation and cladding houses. It not too expensive about £5 for a 2foot by 6foot sheet.

The sizes are from 1/2" upto 3".

Hope this helps.
