Thank you Feymous! :)

1. In picture 7, is the log over the murky pool part of the old DF traps set?
I think so, yes. I'm not entirely sure because I never owned a Traps set but I have (for some reason) two of these murky pool things. I assume I bought them separately on a game fair back in the day when Dwarven Forge could be bought in stores in Germany.

2. In picture 13, where is that cool orb from? Love the paint job in this.
Thank you! :) And good question. At first I had no idea but after a little research I found it (again): it's part of the Magician's Accessories from Grendel. :)

Kronos

Great set-up

Feymous

Yes - the moat and log are part of the original Trap Set. If you go to the European site then you can see all the parts that belong to the trap set.

Simply gorgeous, as always!

I'm working on having more painted accessories too, so that one day I'll have the necessary critical mass of accessories to start building nice and numerous dioramas.

Very nice. I especially like the way you used those 'alcoves' as tunnels / gutters by laying them down. Really simple idea and it works and looks great !

Thank you biowizard and Shadox! :)

I'm working on having more painted accessories too, so that one day I'll have the necessary critical mass of accessories to start building nice and numerous dioramas.
For me details ( =accessories) are the key to an awesome setup. I will start a Sci-Fi RPG/Tabletop sometime in 2013/14 and did already start to buy lots of accessories and stuff to build (hopefully) equally big setups as for my fantasy campaign. I also have a lots of new fantasy accessories on my "must buy" list but I will restrain myself until I have finished painting the a little over 100 miniatures that are sitting on my worktable since I need them for my ongoing D&D campaign.
I really like this hobby. It just never gets dull. :)

Beautiful and inspiring, as always Kronos!

Seeign you use the DOE doors with the classic dungeon line made me realize how much we really need a simallar door design for the classic line!

Maybe in a WE 4 set?

Kronos & Thod - Thanks for the info

Yes - the moat and log are part of the original Trap Set

Alas, I guess I'll just have to keep my eye on eBay if I want to get any of the out of print sets.

At first I had no idea but after a little research I found it (again): it's part of the Magician's Accessories from Grendel.

It's funny, just a few days ago I was browsing the Grendel site and making a list of items I wanted to buy. I remember seeing the Magician's Accessories and they didn't jump out at me. I guess it just shows how a cool paint job can really make a mini stand out. I may have to go back and add these to my list :)

This happens to me all the time when I browse for miniatures. I see a few that look just not interesting enough to buy them. Then I see them painted and I'm blown away. :)
