DarkFather,

Hey I Like how the HQ Magic Tome turned out (More DarkMother?)... That Flame Detail Looks Kewl... And I See all of those Lovely MK bits... I Especially Dig the Pillars, and the Sacrificial Alter with the Manacles... And Of Course the Throne is pretty Kewl too... What are your Thoughts on them?

You Know it Occurs to Me that along with all of the Great Pics of Layouts like this people oughta' be encouraged to List Room Keys too... Maybe a Thread Specifically for "Adventures/ Modules"...?

Sorry I Digress... Nice Pics Man... Keep 'em Coming!!!

Heya MLV;

Yeah more DarkMother... hehe... the Altar isn't finished yet though. More Drybrushing is needed on the book, the altar itself, and the candles need doing.

I love the MK stuff. The Chairs are a little big, but the tables are fine. I like the skull pillar, and reckon the 'pods' are excellent (for as simple as they are).

If there were a forum for 'Actual adventures/modules made specifically for use with DF stuff, I would gladly post my next adventure there, complete with module etc. GREAT IDEA!

DarkFather,

Ok... Well I Started a Thread under the "Gaming Stuff" Topic... Can't really Post my Own until I Get a Digital Camera... Hey When I Do Get One any Special Instructions on Posting them?

As to the Altar... I Can See how more Detail will only Improve the Whole thing... But I like the Look of it Now... All of these Pieces have a seemingly GW Paint Scheme sorta' Look to them... Is this Intentional?

The MK Chairs seemed a Good size to me overall... (Maybe becuase my Sausage Sized Fingers Attached to my Ham Fists Have trouble Grabbing Accessories that are too Small...<Chuckle>...), I Found that the only Piece I really have "Issues" with is the Fountain... In My Mind the Water Spout's Blue Plastic "Spray" looks Really Stiff and Plastic... But I Pretty Much Love Everything Else... And Reccomend a Couple of the Traps sets too!...<Grin>...

Man, great pics! I love the cavernous passage set, and you did a great job with it.

I like the MK furniture, but I'm not crazy about it -- I much prefer the DF stuff. The traps, however, are excellent -- there's a big cage in one trap set from MK (did they only make one? I can't recall) and it's fantastic.

All I can say, is that I set all my pics to 640x480 and post them here straight from my HDD. Apart from that, I don't do anything 'special' with the pics.

The GW paintjob feel the furniture has is all Mrs. DF I think. Both of us have ever only painted in that style, and with DarkMother having won an official GW painting competition, and then having been offered a job to paint for GW Australia, it has kinda stuck with us.

Apart from the MK chairs, I would have to agree on the Fountain. It seems a little ... 'cartoonish/toyish... but apart from that, I am glad I purchased the items. One can never have TOO MUCH scenery. ;)

I may very well have to look into the Traps set...

Thanks for the positive feedback L. I just wish I had, not only the rest of my orders, but another set of each big box, then maybe I could aspire to some of the displays you have created. I still have much more DF scenery to get, but it will have to wait until I can manage to amass some more finances, after Christmas. On a GOOD NOTE though.... I just received an email from a DF supplier here in Aus, and my Fantasy Floor and Starter set are on their way to me as I type!! Hopefully I will have them both by this afternoon, or tomorrow!!

Also, L, DarkMother would like to thank you. She has been trying to get me to get back into painting minis for over a decade now, and thanks to you, I have just ordered over $250AUD worth of Reaper minis (Barman, Townfolk, etc), and have a $600+ wishlist of Grendel scenery that I want to order. So in short, DarkMother thanks you for doing what she has been unable to do for the last 10+ years. I also thank you, seeing your awesome displays (and videos) has really lit a fire under me.

Wow, well thanks! Although, you know, if I ever say "My wife thanks you for getting me painting again!" I'm being sarcastic. ;) She loves the DF displays, but having the paint and brushes and hundreds of figs in various stages of completion -- she's not crazy about that....

DarkFather,

Ahhh... So There is GW in the Blood then... This explains Mucho!...<Smirk>... All Kidding aside there is Real Talent there... And Again, it seems to be a Family Trait...

As to Painting... We are in Such a Tiny Apartment these days it would take Great Discipline to Set up and Take Down Art Projects Daily... So Until the Wife Finishes up School, and we Manage to Move into a Larger Pad, I am Afraid that I will have to Patiently Wait and Watch you Folks all Get Better and Better...

Law,

As Stated above There just is'nt the room required to set up a Workshop right now, But I am VERY Fortunate that my Wife Believes that Everyone needs a "Cave" to go to for what ever, so when the Day Comes I will definately have her support to Start Painting Again...
