PFS - Citadel of Flames 2 Years, 11 Months ago
A while ago I showed some layouts for Pathfinder Society Play (Blackros Museum) and how to build them up to transport them to conventions.

The following photos were taken ahead of OddCon. I generated three (four) more layouts for the Citadel of Flame. Beware of spoilers if you plan to play these.

The first photo shows the layout for the final encounter. The DoE Hellscape set is ideal to build this up. I use the lava fountain from the Floor Set as the Idol for Moloch. Some DoE floor plates are used to raise it up. Three lava fountains are used for the 'airvents' locations.

Photo 2 - yes - since I have taken over the European rights for DF I need to advertise it at least a little bit so people who have never seen DF and pass by the table to look don't disturb the GM.

The next three photos are the portal in various states of opening. The Sould fountain from the DoE Wicked Addition fits in nicely here. No - you are not supposed to ever reach the last stage - it's for photos only.

Next two photos. A small change of the layout turns it into the lower level - the Smithy. Actually - you should be here first.

One photo for the spiral way up. There should be a slope as you slowly gain height - but it should be good enough.

The last three photos use the classic set and build up the entrance to the temple. I did run out of time and need to apply some paint. I'm thinking about yellow (sand) and black (for the chasm with the broken bridge). Some passage pieces with two pieces from the Ruins Set work nicely for the broken bridge. The central room is wider as in the official map to allow me using secret doors.

I'm also contemplating if I should build it up using the RotA sets instead. So stay tuned as I will go to another CON next weekend and plan to run this scenario again.

Edit: And it seems by embedding the photos I ran afoul of size when I had three tags next to each other ...

Nice! I like how the DOE looks in conjunction with the Hellscape set. You should post these pics to Paizo too.

The Paizo boards aren't good in integrating pictures.

So with all my PFS setups I tend to post the pictures exclusively here. But I always write a thread in the Pathfinder Society section with a link to the thread here.

Looking at some replies on the Paizo boards there is at least some traffic from their boards over to this one right now. But I wouldn't expect many to post here as you need an account.

And yes - I'm Thod on both boards.

Looks like fun, Deadly but fun. the DOE insert pieces look great in that enviroment. Con attendees should have a great time at your table.

Looks great! I like the look of the Hellscape with the DOE!

Citadel of Flame is one of my favorite PFS mods - I've ran it 4 or 5 times over a period of a few months.

I built it with RoTA as you mention and if you want an idea of how it looks, I posted my build of it here:
