@Morgar,

Shhhhhh, "Call me." Me and my wife had the same conversation," You wanna spend WHAT on a table and chairs"? I obviously won the argument. ;) I'll give ya da tips to "get er dun" as we say here! ;)

I got a REALLY good deal on the furniture. Anyone that wants to learn more about the furniture maker can go to
www.geoghagan.net/

Here's what's crazy about the furniture maker, he's a third generation furniture maker. He's one of 7 generationsin his family that work in the furniture business. Their originally from Ireland, and his brother works full time in authenticating and researching heraldry! So when I wanted to add heraldry to the table top, drawer tops, and chair backs it was a "piece of cake."

I'm really enjoying the furniture.

Monkplayer that is truly one amazing game room, and the terrain set up is awesome. I can only imagine the hours and hours of entertainment playing through the adventure with that terrain build.

Amazing. I am speechless.

We are moving at the end of this year and will be looking for a house. I told my wife that I want a basement so I can turn it into a tavern/game room. I will be using your game room as an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

I sure appreciate all the great compliments. I did work hard on all the details. I put a lot of thought into the DF build and terrain build. The bummer part is I don't have a group to run through those two builds yet. I'm pretty sure that the builds are for epic level characters.

I'm starting in a month my first campaign for beginner role players.

Beginning role players and your mega D&D room is going to be their first experience!!!??? They are going to be spoiled for life.

@Eric

It ought to be a lot of fun for the brand new role players. There is a t least one role player that's new to Pathfinder but not new to gaming (he's played D&D). I should have two other players (father and son) that have a lot of experience with WOW, and all of the online D&D video games, but they've never played the original role playing game! These two upcoming new players came over for dinner recently and that's when we learned we had "role playing" in common. They LOVE online video D&D games and I love the actual roleplaying (Pathfinder) miniatures. I showed them the room later that night and the dad wouldn't leave the room for over an hour. LOL. He kept saying, "WOW" over and over as he kept noticing all the small details in the room (he's an engineer for a living), so he likes details. ;) It was really nice seeing someone appreciate (Like all of you have) all the hard work.

I really hope all the people I introduce to RPG really like the experience, similar to how my new friend liked my room...:)

Hopefully they will be spoiled for life and become lifelong excellent gamers in my campaign..;)

Sorry folks I should of answered all these posts in one reply. Sorry for the multiple replies.

@M4Jumbo

I hope to be able to run through those two builds sometime in the near future, but it will take an epic or close to epic group to survive that dungeon. If you take a close look or go to the photographers website, where there are a lot more pics, there are some really tough traps and monsters. There are at least three traps you can't avoid. Did you notice the two gelantinous cubes from opposite ends of the hallway? The one pit of 15 water with water elements right next to the doorway? The "Indian Jones ball with ramp at one end of the hallway with the swing pike at the other end, "it's crunch time" in that hallway"! That's just some of the traps! The monsters are far worse!

A whole lot. The furniture and gaming supplies were most of the cost. I owned no gaming supplies when I started except a couple Pathfinder books.

Wow!

This is the stuff gamer's dreams are made of. Even though I just about could afford to do this with my humble garage gamong room I just couldn't justify the expense(or indeed be allowed by my wife!). Much Kudos to you that you've not only done it to such a high standard without cutting any corners, but that you've obviously put a lot of your own time in planning and visualising it all.

Fantastic!!!!
I announce you the winner of the gaming room awards! :)

Hello again gamers! Some have asked me to post the feature article by 1stoplighting.com about my room, so here is the write up on my 13th Century Medieval Tavern Game Room..
www.1stoplighting.com/content/elk-wall-sconces-medieval-room/info.aspx

FYI.. There are a couple of mentions about items that they decided not to show pictures of, because the pics didn't include their sconce lighting. You will read about some items in the room that don't have pictures showing those items.

Here are some photos of our gaming room, they are from a few years ago. I have more Dwarven Forge items now, just need to get some updated photos.
